I do. It's because there are millions upon millions of clueless, apathetic, lazy, and just plain stupid people out there who have just as much right to vote as folks like you and I. IMO, there ought to be a minimum IQ requirement met before people are permitted the right to vote. (joking, sort of). :)
Again - preachin’ to the choir... Hubby and I precinct walk and in 2006, we had to listen to all those that were mad at the Republicans, couldn’t be BOTHERED to vote, or flat out told us that they were, “sending a message & teaching ‘them’ a lesson.” Well, I had a few words for them then (I said, “well just STAB me in the back...I’m taking up my time to walk to 150 houses!)...and I have a LOT more for them now!
He's right - people in Iraq marked themselves for death by inking their fingers when they voted...and THEY still did it. We have a bunch of pathetic, self-absorbed citizens in this Country, who---if it rains or they just feel like staying home and watching TV...they don't vote. I almost feel like we should have a three strikes law--you lose the privilege if you DON'T vote three times, and it doesn't have to be consecutive votes, either.
