And in recent weeks, it has sent even more troops and armored vehicles to within striking distance of the city ahead of street protests against Georgia's president.

Yep, Ukraine will be the spark. Too late to get them into NATO, unfortunately.

It’s starting to look like 1938 all over again, all that’s missing is Anschluss with Belarus.

True, NATO will not accept the Ukraine at this stage. NATO is now run by very weak leaders and the weakest among them is our President Obama.

We should disarm some more to show our disappointment.

I am afraid you are right. Except, while we have our Chamberlain, where is our Churchill?
That is what is most depressing to me. Who is there today on a national level to explain that this will be just the first taste of the bitter cup of appeasement? Rush is saying it but he is not an elected leader. A bad moon is rising over this hallowed land.

The Russians are going to take Tblisi & Obama isnt going to do a thing. Bank on it. B.S.!
If need be, the infomercial kid will state his deep concern for the Russian aggressions and if THAT doesn't work the infomercial kid will delegate Hitlery to state a firm "deeply saddened" to follow up.
That will show those pesky Russians!

Wait a minute. Didn't Gov. Tim Kaine say Obama had solved this problem last August? Here's what he said back then: "It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And Im very, very happy that the Senators request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev."
You're right. Thank goodness. I'm sure BO will straighten them out again right away with another polite request. Thank God for nuance and elegance.
