YOU are soooooo correct!!!!
This is a very sad story and I sympathize with this woman, who obviously has serious medical and psychological problems. However, when you read about an immobile woman who is maintaining 700lbs of body weight, it is fair to ask who is feeding this person. If she can’t fetch her own food â enormous amounts of it â then who is bringing her food several times a day? And why is that person bringing her enough calories to maintain five hundred and fifty extra pounds of weight? This person is worse than a mere âenablerâ; the fetcher/feeder is a killer.
>>because he did have people sneaking food in to him.<<
Like I said, her family is poisoning her.
“Yes, they do. And need the tough love that sympathy should bring.”
When it comes to deadly addiction-caused diseases, “tough love” means willing to let the person die without your help.
“Her family is poisoning her, you want her to die.”
I’d like her family to stop poisoning her so that she may have to die. She shouldn’t be allowed to go on existing as she is.
To gain one pound of fat, a human must consume 2400 calories in excess of basic metabolic requirements, typically 1000 calories just to keep the blood pumping. If she gained 400 lbs in 3 or 4 years she probably consumed an extra 750 calories per day.
She didn’t just need to diet, she needed to move around more and burn some of that fat. I’ve had coworkers who have had gastric bypass to lose weight and they can still consume excess calories through sugar containing soft drinks and alcohol.
>>Id like her family to stop poisoning her so that she may have to die. She shouldnt be allowed to go on existing as she is.<<
That is the solution, not letting her die.
And your posts give conservatives a bad name.
Where did he get the money?
I’m not saying the fam is innocent. To gain 1 pound/week one must consume an additional 3500 calories/week. The average woman needs 1800-2500 calories/day. Lets say she needs 2000/day. For the sake of easy math: to gain 365 pound in one year, she would have to eat an additional 3500 calories/day. That is 5500 calories EVERY DAY for an entire year. I can tell by the way my clothes fit when I have gained a pound or two. She would be able to tell something was wrong in one week on this diet.
THANK YOU!!!
Perhaps you’re confused by my saying “these sort of people shouldnt exist”. Why jump to thinking I meant she should be killed? She should not be allowed to live as she does. And if she wasn’t so allowed, she’d cease to be one of “these sort of people”.
So what I’m saying is no different than majority opinion on this thread. Only that I add she’s now, in her current state, an affront to God. For the record, retards and cripples are not affronts to God.Self-killing addicts are.
Ferguson needs people to help her get to a portable toilet, which is only two steps from her chair.....
two steps to far....
portable toilet or barrel?
Strange concept on tough love you have there. To me it means not enabling but being around if needed without the person knowing you are even helping. Strange thing about being overweight though. It tends to be a destructive circle. Reading your post , this lady would probably get even more depressed and eat more.
.....But there’s too many red tapes. ......
Perhaps some tapeworms would help to solve her problem.
I don’t remember but he was probably on disability.
“That is the solution, not letting her die.”
Tell me where I said she should die? I use the drug addict metaphor because I think it’s apt. But metaphors aren’t perfect. The thing about drug addicts is you can’t control them if they refuse your help. She doesn’t have that choice. The metaphor came from my wish to impart the fact that, like drug addicts, she’ll die if she doesn’t change. They are both fatal diseases.
That's the seed to the train of thought it can lead to, you dummy.
Today he could probably use a Credit Card to get pizza but if he had cash, someone got it for him.
There are lots of people who enable. I had an alcoholic mother. Sometimes it was just easier to “fix her drinks” until she passed out.
I’m not proud of it.
100% fatality rate.....scary ain't it?
