The Catholic Church may not have hunted down the illuminati or any other group but they screwed Da Vinci big time.

The Church is made up of men. Some men are bad, some are good... but all are men.

Jesus Christ is and was our savior. The church is there only to help us find our way to the Lord. Anything else it does; Politically, economically, sexually, criminally or whatever that takes us away from it's job of helping us find Christ is a distraction.

I'm a fallen Catholic stumbling around and praying that the Lord is truly merciful. After going to mass I've just found it all to .... much. The hand holding, the shaking hands, the singing of all the responses and on and on and on... I seemed to remember a simpler service with the father, two altar boys and less theatrics/ or whatever they're doing now.

I almost wish for the Latin Mass and then the Gospel and homily to be in English. I'm just getting to be an old fart I guess.

“I’m a fallen Catholic”

That explains a lot of your misinformation.

“I almost wish for the Latin Mass”

And you can find a Latin Mass in your area here:
Latin Mass.com http://latinmass.com/latinmassdirectory.html

Jesus Christ is and was our savior. The church is there only to help us find our way to the Lord.

So we should always obey Jesus.

Matthew 16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Matthew 18:17
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Please look a little harder in your diocese. The Tridentine mass is usually available but can be difficult to find. I too, love the beauty, peacefullness and tradition of the mass in Latin.

I go to Mass but don’t do the sign of peace. Nor do I pray with hands raised like the oracle or hold hands, nor do I say the Protestant part of the Our Father. The priest’s eyes always get as big as saucers when I open my mouth and stick out my tongue to receive Communion. The Church was infected by modernity as a principle in the 1960s. I will resist in my small ways.

The Latin Mass is available in most diocese. It is still beautiful and very much more reverent. Check out in your area by going to the website for your diocese.

Back when they had sex with the altar boys and no one squealed? Those were the good old days for them - politicians in their pocket, packed churches overflowing collection plates.....when did the business model all turn to bleep?

I actually saw the film and while the plot was predicable with lots of car chases I thought overall they let the Vatican off pretty easily.
