A Timid Advocate of Freedom [Romney Spanks Obama for Embarrassing World Stage Debut]
National Review Online ^ | 04/21/2009 | Mitt Romney

Posted on 04/21/2009 5:48:04 AM PDT by mbraynard

At last week’s Summit of the Americas, President Obama acquiesced to a 50-minute attack on America as terroristic, expansionist, and interventionist from Nicaraguan president Daniel Ortega. His response to Ortega’s denunciation of our effort to free Cuba from Castro’s dictatorship was that he shouldn’t be blamed “for things that happened when I was three months old.” Blamed? Hundreds of men, including Americans, bravely fought and died for Cuba’s freedom, heeding the call from newly elected president John F. Kennedy.....

Mitt's article takes BHO to task for his embarrassingly poor performance.

Anybody got a video link yet, for that 50-minute Ortega rant? (Don’t care if it’s in Spanish, we got us a polyglot here at 668.)

Is that against the rules? I didn’t notice that in the posting comment area.

No surprise. Mr. Obama is a wannabe dictator.

Hundreds of men, including Americans, bravely fought and died for Cuba’s freedom, heeding the call from newly elected president John F. Kennedy. But last week, even as American soldiers sacrificed blood in Afghanistan and Iraq to defend liberty, President Obama shrank from defending liberty here in the Americas.

Good hit, Mitt.

It's good to see a RINO finally standing up for freedom and liberty.

Come over to our (the conservative) side, Mitt. You'll be glad you did.

The problem is there’s nothing he can do to convince you he’s a conservative. So buzz off.

“he shouldn’t be blamed “

Was he actually thinking he was personally being blamed? The man can not be that stupid. I mean, he is the Head of America. What happened to defending OUR country? Did he not take his oath serious or did he just have his fingers crossed?

The Oath of Office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

In the mind of a narcissist, everything is about him.

I’m glad Mitt is speaking out.

I'd be glad too, if he also apologized for helping to foist TARP on the taxpayer. Otherwise, his "speaking out" has no credibility with anyone.

he shouldn’t be blamed “for things that happened when I was three months old.

That is the stupidest line ever. He used almost the same line about Bill Ayers. He was only 7 years old when the weather underground commit those acts so it's OK if he pals around with him.

Is that the issue? For me, the issue is that as many of us as possible speak out against this administration. Even those that we do not wish to see as president.

Romney should also apologize, on his knees, to the American
people for throwing Election2008 to Obama.

I suppose I’ll agree with you except that doesn’t mean that we should have amneesia about Romney’s past record.
