I like her. And yes, she is funny. If youve only seen her on political talk shows, youre going to have to take my word for it.
I did a show with her in NYC the other night, and she was delightful. A small room in the West Village, packed with people, everyone laughing. Shes a comedian, and a good one. I prefer her more personal material to the political stuff, but thats the way I feel about most comedians. After the show we spoke, and at one point I reminded her that Im kind of right-wing. Thats youre problem, she said, and then we got back to the friendly talk. We went on to have a great conversation and share some laughs. On a personal level, I always have a good time with her, and you would too. Believe me.
Heres my point: I sense a little misplaced anger over her comments about the tea parties. It strikes me as a Captain Renault-like expression of shock. In order to take great offense at what she said we have to ignore the fact that the very same thing is said, in more subtle ways, every day. The left never stops accusing the right of racism.

ok, it’s time to get logical. “Gay conservative” is an oxymoron.
Skankapotamous?
“...kinda right wing?” What is that, like ...kinda pregnant? What a dweeb. There isn’t a shower on earth hot enough to clean your skin after doing her. There’s not a disinfectant strong enough to cleanse you. There isn’t a Vagisil strength great enough to cleanse her! Ptoooi!
Hitler was a loving person to some...so what is new that horrible individuals can be nice at times?
Don't those legs and "feets" give you a shudder?
Mr. Shillue doesn’t have a clue how those comments come across.
Janeane deserves whatever she gets as blowback from this.
“Shes a comedian, and a good one.”
Odd that I haven’t heard her say anything funny in a few years.
This is BS and another example of the “feel good” right and why the GOP and our country is where it is.
She is part and parcel of those who consider the mainly white, Traditionalist/conservative, Constitution supporting “Americans” as a problem.
In fact with what is coming out of DC and DHS we are more than just a problem we are the enemy.
The author has an entirely appropriate last name: Shillue
I certainly wouldn’t want to be laying on her.
That’d be a coyote morning.
“I’m famous, therefore, I’m smart.”
Yeah, right.
Nice tats, Ms. J.
Ok, Tom Shillue is the biggest jerk off on two feet. Leave our country now.
She's short enough so I suppose I could use her as either a batting tee or a place to set my beer provided she has a flat head and no teeth......
Note: The "ue" is silent, in his (mental) case.
You may want to read the whole thing. For example:
“Thats the problem. People are unwilling to declare that its over. Its done. The number of Americans who believe one race is inferior to another is so small that they are not worth discussing. They are silly people. And they have no power.”
He is making a very good point. The only difference between Jeanene and most of the left is that she is not subtle. We are much better off when those who oppose us are blatant in their ignorance.
In order to take great offense at what she said we have to ignore the fact that the very same thing is said, in more subtle ways, every day. The left never stops accusing the right of racism.
This butthead actually believes that her offensiveness is lessened by the fact that the left is continually offensive? This feal-matter-for-brains idiot apparently has fallen prey to the political version of Stockholm Syndrome.
Come to think of it, isn't this what McCain (father and daughter) have done, vis-a-vis the media?
The fact that the republican frogs' pot of water has been slowly heating for a long time doesn't relieve the leftist bastards of their guilt in stoking the fire!
I like Morgan Freemans position. On 60 Minutes a few years ago, he declared Black History Month ridiculous, prompting this question:
Mike Wallace: But how are we going to get rid of racism?
Morgan Freeman: Stop talking about it.
I like that. Lets just stop talking about it. But in order to stop talking about it we are going to have to talk about it for a little while. To declare that it is over. It has gone away.
We don't need to talk about racism. We, as a society, need to do something about it. We need to metaphorically brand every racist butthead in our country publically, loudly, and indelibly with a scarlet letter - perhaps "A" for a$$hole?
