Mind you, this is a guy whos not only been divorced twice but who used to live with a gay couple.

I don’t really understand the logic of how being divorced or knowing gay people means you should support gay marriage.
I don’t think there is any logic at all.
If he was rooming with a gay couple, he must not be all that offended by gay marriage.
Roody-Toot ping. Flip-flop in progress.
Always happy to have a convert to the right side of the issue!
Better late than never
He was never in favor of gay marriage, just civil unions. I bet Reagan knew a few gay people too.
Question: You said that if DOMA were to fail, or states began to legalize gay marriage, you would [withdraw your opposition to] a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Giuliani: I do not believe under the state that presently exists, with the Defense of Marriage Act and basically one state that has by judicial fiat created same-sex marriage--I dont think we need a constitutional amendment at this point. If a lot of states start to do that--5 or 6 states--then we should have a constitutional amendment.

GIULIANI: I clearly believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, although I did support domestic partnerships and still do, a contractual relationship.

On Gay Domestic-Partner Rights: "National Republicans can lump it if they don't like his new domestic-partners bill, "Mayor Giuliani said yesterday. "I really haven't thought about what the impact is on Republican politics or national politics or Democratic politics," Giuliani said. The bill he submitted to the City Council would extend the benefits city agencies must grant to gay and lesbian couples. "I'm proud of it," Giuliani said of the bill. "I think it puts New York City ahead of other places in the country." New York Daily News, May 13, 1998
On Gay-Rights/Gay Rights Bill: Giuliani favors extended civil-rights protection for gays and lesbians. Giuliani urged, by letter, to the New York Senate Majority Leader to pass the state's first ever gay rights bill, but did it privately. "I am writing to convey my support for the current legislation to prohibit discrimination against gays and lesbians, and to urge you to allow the bill onto the floor of the Senate for prompt action." ".......It is my belief that we can penalize discrimination [against gays] without creating any potentially objectionable special privileges or preferential treatment." New York Post, June 5, 1993
Oh look, a nice piñata. How charming.
I have to agree with you, the connection escapes me also.
If he's a "convert of convenience," as RINOs almost always are, then we would be better off without him 'on our side.'
Just because someone doesn’t hate gay people, or refuse to associate with them doesn’t mean they support gay marriage.
I have a gay relative and I’m not boycotting Christmas because of it.
He’s looking at 2012. Sarah Palin will flatten him in the primaries.
A gay couple living together is NOT a married gay couple living together. There IS a difference.
I’d like to see Palin make a run at the nomination in 2012. Otherwise, the GOP might have to deal with a Giuliani-Romney-Huckabee redux. That leaves conservatives out in the cold, once again.
Giuliani is a despicable creature.
No, he's looking at 2010 NYS Governors race and knocking off David Patterson. Good luck Rudy.
So, do you think homosexuality should be taught in public schools?
Excellent point.
I must say that I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with having a gay couple as roommates.
Come to think about it, when I was in college, I had a gay couple as housemates.
