I like May 30 because I think too many people will be celebrating the 4th of July with their families doing parades, picnics, and fireworks. I like celebrating our independence on that day.
My first choice is May 30 and then the one after that is in Washington DC when congress starts in the fall.

Louisville is putting together a group to go to DC on 7/4.
WRONG time to have a gathering there. Sounds good on paper, but it is not.
Needs to be done when tourism is low, not at its peak. We want to be the center of attention, not swallowed by endless crowds. A logistical nightmare in my opinion.

How about May 1st? To counter May Day...I’m sure with Obama’s Marxist mentors he will no doubt observe May Day with Putin/Castro/Ortega/and Chavez.

I like 5/30 because it's so close to Memorial Day and we could to a tribute to our vets. Something that was lacking at the 4/15 rally here.
There's so much going on 7/4, but we may do one on that day also.
I wish these tea party sites would get their act together. We have to reserve the park with the city and if we don't know the date far in advance, the park may not be available.

I don’t see anything for Phoenix yet, but I’m sure something is in the works.

Personally, I prefer Memorial Day to be left to our fallen. 4th of July is perfect for the spirit of the movement.

It is to bad that all of our Tea Parties did not have one central web site to announce their event. There was the T.E.A. party people and the 912 people and who knows what other organizations were involved and had scheduled events that were not listed on these major web sites.
It seemed like either the 912 people or the T.E.A. people or the the others were not linking back and forth between each other's web sites and events. There were quite a few in my area that were over looked by one or the other.

I intend on going to Chicago May 30th and Washington DC the fourth of July.
We need to keep these going and grow them. I strongly believe we can get over one million protesters to DC for the Fourth.
See you there!

I like may 30th too, especially what this Janet Neapolitan is doing to our vets... I realize memorial day is for fallen heros, but her remarks need to be condemned

Like a rolling party? Maybe all the state level coordinators could figure out a schedule.

St Louis = July 4.
The 4/15 event was so large that a new, larger location needs to be reserved for July 4. (Kiener Plaza downtown was nearly at capacity last week.)

I agree with you.
A better time for DC would be September or October, after tourist season ends.

This isn't a date, but it is another reason. This has Franklin Barney and Dood, written all over it!

Symbolism means something! Actually symbolism means a LOT! What a better day to have next Conservative protest against the destruction of our beloved Constitution than INDEPENDENCE DAY?
