A man is holding a number of hostages on board a plane in the Jamaican resort of Montego Bay, reports say.
The man reportedly breached security systems using fake ID and boarded the plane as it was preparing to take off at around 2230 local time (0430 GMT).
There are unconfirmed reports that a shot has been fired on board the Canada-bound charter plane. The gunman is said to have robbed passengers.
BREAKING NEWS Up to 140 passengers aboard a plane reportedly destined for Canada are being held hostage at Sangster International Airporter in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Officials say the hostage situation began at 10:30 p.m. local time when the man breached security systems by using several fake identification cards.
Reports suggest one person, possibly an airline employee, has been shot dead. Airport officials, however, say there have been no fatalities.
