I love the new label: “progressive”. It’s a lot like cancer.

Yea. And it ain't new neither. "Progressivism" is truly a virus. There is no cure for those infected and it transmitted by contact with other progressives if you have not been inoculated with the 'common sense conservative' antibody vaccination.

From Wikipedia:

The Progressive Era in the United States was a period of reform which lasted from the 1890s to the 1920's.

Responding to the changes brought about by industrialization, the Progressives advocated a wide range of economic, political, social, and moral reforms. Initially the movement was successful at local level, and then it progressed to state and gradually national. Both the reformers and their opponents were predominantly members of the middle class.

Significant changes achieved at the national levels included the income tax with the Sixteenth Amendment, direct election of Senators with the Seventeenth Amendment, Prohibition with the Eighteenth Amendment, and women's suffrage through the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Great stuff! Income tax. Taking away State Representation! Couldn't drink(legally)! Women got to vote? Well, I suppose that was going to happen even without the "progressives". But other than that one, just wow. "Progressive"? Bull sh..!

It is more like the "Here's Johnny!!" scene from the Shining movie.

Not new, goes back to the early days of communism in the west. Linked to the destruction of our societal underpinnings, such as religion, morals, ethics, education, etc....

They are exactly on track with the original vision having rendered us a nation of folks unable, literally, to distinguish between good and evil.
