Funky,

Try the most effective stop-smoking device in history...

Self discipline.

80% of ex-smokers quit by going cold turkey or by progressively reducing consumption over time.

There are many who do not choose to quit, but due to govt constraints, non smoking places all over, and parents who don’t want second hand smoke around their kids or their homes, it is a viable alternative for these folks. Not everyone wants to quit......

I'm in the 20%. I've tried at least 20 times.

However, I don't believe it's the method that is flawed, it is my own self-discipline and conviction.

I simply don't want to bad ENOUGH. I tell myself I do, but obviously underneath I don't want it as bad as I say. It's been a lifelong struggle for me. I have my weaknesses for sure.

I see the e-cig as a holdover or wind down device. Soon, I will lay down my last cigarette (been saying that for 20 years though). When I do, I consider the battle 5% won (hehehe).

And what if you enjoy smoking? I use the electronic vaporizer and have quit smoking cigs about 2 weeks ago. And thats after trying for 35 yrs to give up the habit.

Too bad Lautenburg of NJ wants to outlaw these. Can't have the smokers give up sending the tax money for the SChip program.

Just curious, Z. Are you an ex-smoker yourself, and did you quit cold turkey?

Just so you know, I'm more inclined to recommend the cold turkey method myself, but as a nicotine addict, I know how incredibly hard that is to do successfully.

The easy way. Allen Carr. Saved my life, I hope. I paid $15 for my copy, and it did everything it claimed it would do. Best $15 I ever spent.

This isnt’ about quitting. Lots of smokers don’t want to quit. ever. They just want to cut back a little without suffering any withdrawl.

So you cut back a little and whenever you start to feel the urge, you have one of these electric cigarettes. What’s wrong with that?
