what wiring would you have to replace to get dsl? I had it for years before I got U-Verse...check into uverse, it is fantastic, less expensive and more reliable than cable...

The house wiring. I rent a small house. Outlet in the bedroom (computer room) doesn't work because the external wiring had cracks. Also, the phone wiring to the house had problems -- allot of static and noise. This whole area of town has old wiring. (I dropped landline in Dec and went with wireless and VOIP.)

DLS 20 Mbps is $51 and 1.5 Mbps is $41.
Cable 8 Mbps is $45.

Install and re-wiring could cost me probably $200 or more.
