I believe in Reagan as well... but I read something intersting yesterday and that is "many, many voters today don't even know who Reagan was or what he stood for and when we older voters keep mentioning him their eyes glaze over. We need a new Reagan and 2010/2012 Reagan-like person who will excite this new generation the way he excited our generation."
True. To me, Reagan isn't too long ago. I also get the same reaction as you when I mention President Carter, but there is a generation of adults out there that were not even born when Carter, or even Reagan, was in office. To remember Carter, you have to be at least 35 years old. I'll be 43 this year in July. I could have voted for Reagan in 1984 but registered late.
It's like when I watch "Airwolf" on the Retro Television Network along with them playing Wendy's "Where's the Beef" commercial, I sit there and say, "dang, that was 25 years ago."
Well, I also saw the old 1985 Wendy's ad where they had the Soviet fashion show with the same, dull, grey dress when the fat lady walked out. I joked, "this is the world Obama is going to give us." To the "yung uns" out there today, it is a quaint commercial but to us, that is a parody of real history that we have lived, and feared.
We do need a new Ronald Reagan, Jindal is a strong possibility, perhaps Sarah Palin, I don't know. We need to keep looking and work on 2010, our first mission is damage control so we need to get Congress in our hands again.
It got me to asking: Where is that person, a person who stands for something constructive, is willing to speak out about what he/she stands for and has the charisma to excite voters of all ages to follow along...and is a conservative who believes in God, Country and Constitution...
True. BTW, another problem we have is there are too many people out there in the "gimmee crowd," so it will be a tough sell.

Well, like you said and I agree... EVERYONE needs to focus in like a laser on 2010... hopefully it won’t be too late to stop some of this madness, but I think this is why Obama is trying to rush through healthcare, energy and more while he can.

Yes, I know. Hence my question.

“Octavian. Remember Octavian and Mark Antony were allies at Philippi, they faced each other at the battle of Actium.”
Which makes me wonder, are the beltway RINOs Antony, bedding down with Cleopatra, that is the MSM?

Just out of interest who did you 2 vote for in the primaries. Were you among the misguided who listened to Rush and played games in the democrat primaries? If you were, you were the problem. That idiocy got us McCane for a candidate. And here we are.

She should switch parties and be done with it. She is not a Republican, nor is she intelligent. She'll make a perfect Democrat, though.

If you wrote anyone in for president when you voted, then your vote counted for nothing! Perhaps it helped Obama more than it hurt McCain.
AFAIK, write-ins are invalid in presidential elections - if they aren’t, they might as well be, because there has never been a properly coordinated, successful write-in campaign for any presidential race that I’m aware of, as well as most other political election races.

John McCain meanwhile reminds me more and more of the Admiral McCain who, during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, steamed off over the horizon in search of a Jap fleet that wasnt there... Well, as much as I share your unenthusiasm with the McCainiacs, I'd have to correct your statement on Leyte.
Admiral McCain's task force was relieved and ordered to a rear area to R&R (no, not "rest & recreation" -- to re-equip) and was underway when his radio operators picked up signals of battle to his rear, which was Admiral Kurita's Central Strike Force attacking the "Taffy" carrier groups.
McCain promptly reversed course and closed the "Taffys" at flank speed but was unable to reach a launch point in time to influence that outcome, but his aircraft did participate in the hunting down and destruction of some survivors of Adm. Shoji Nishimura's Southern Strike Force that had been defeated by the old battleships attached to Gen. MacArthur's command during the night. As I recall, McCain's aircraft bagged the damaged heavy cruiser Mogami, and the surface forces overtook and sank a damaged destroyer. Later on, the heavy cruiser Ashigara from Adm. Shima's supporting force was caught and sunk off Luzon while retiring to the north, but I don't recall whose aircraft rang her up.

The McCains are welcome to go home to their demoratic party.
Matter of fact Mahgan can go change affiliation with the right. If she don't like the right, then go to the middle or the left and leave us alone. Besides, it has been the Right who has compromised and it is people like her Father who has moved the right to the left. Never have the McCains or anyone else for that matter, ever moved the left to the Right.

Hey Meghan - bring it on you moron. I guess you are still upset that a woman 20 years older than you on the campaign was way hotter than you are. I bet men about 3 to 1 thought Sarah was pretty than you are.
Now go back to you Straight Talk Express donuts.
PS: Most conservatives loathe your RINO dad Juan McCain. We are such dinosaurs that we may fund a conservative to run against your old man in the primary.

Just who in the Sam Hill is "Megan McCain"??p>This person's father got slaughtered in the General Election. He brought us down to defeat. He is a has-been. They themself were a political non-entity one year ago.
This person is irrelevant. This is only radio interference, nothing else. They can just STFU and let the adults and conservatives take over now.

Her book publisher is Hyperion aka Disney aka ABC News. Disney owns all of them. Book deals are essentially bribes. Even “best sellers” like Obama books are probably bpught by a small number of people. Corporations probably buy 10,000 or more at a pop. Some are printed and sit in a warhouse or get pulped never to be read by anyone.
Book deals are almost always a scam and a payoff.
A few REAL books actually sell like Mark Levin’s book etc.
