As I mentioned on another thread: I believe the unlimited open spigot of fiat money coming out of the Fed is the main cause of most of our problems in this society.It is the main cause of the runaway, out of control Federal Government which no longer even needs taxes to fund it's socialism. It has the funny money machine which just spews out debt that we have to accept as real money.
In a country of hard money and little credit folks had to earn every dollar by a commensurate level of production. But the fiat money creators circumvent that discipline. Can you imagine sane people underwriting BS like subsidies to foreign governments, Universities, Acorn, Arts, Bailouts, Stimulus. etc. ad nausea, without fiat money? I can't. It is no accident that we went down this road after 1913.
Ron Paul is on the right track. IMO if you want to identify the real reason we are not a conservative people anymore it is because of the flood of fiat money sloshing through our society. It corrupts everything.
Destroy this beast in the spirit of Andy Jackson and the slackers and looters and hanger ons in the Universities, Interest Groups, etc. will have to start earning their keep....or wither away like the parasites they are!
