I’m happy with their decision — but it was a no-brainer from day one.

Can they get back the $1 million bucks that the GOP gave Arnie for his YES campaign?

How much time and money willl they invest in the NO campaign?

It has been 52 days since the legislature put this on the ballot and there are only 37 days left until the election. Voter pamphlets have been delivered. Absentee voter ballots are in the mail.

I’ll be interested to see what kind of NO campaign the party actually launches.

Call me a skeptic, but I think they did this on purpose. Dilly-dally while the other team racks up a dozen touch-downs, then decide to play.

That's the next question on my mind. Probably not much of one. At least this ought to stop them from funneling more money on the YES side. We'll probably get a slate mailer and not much else. OK. You're a skeptic. :-)

And I'm sure you're right.

31 days now, but who's counting ;-)

(meanwhile, the CTA spews out their "YES" propaganda as the CRP fiddled)

Well, color me surprised. I knew the California Republican Assembly would oppose this, but I'm surprised the RINO infested "offical" state party organization had the guts to oppose all six measures, especially since "their" Governor is loudly campaigning in favor of the props.

By the way, didn't Arnie win re-election in 2006 by saying he had "learned his lesson" and "gotten the message" not to try to pass half-@$$ed "reforms" through special election ballot propositions? And I think he promised that he would "never" try that again. Why isn't anyone calling this RINO to task for his 180o flip-flop from 2006? The TV ads would be great, showing Arnie hasn't "learned" anything and is pushing the same failed policies he tried five years ago, instead of all that "live within our means" lies he promised during the campaign. He's right back where he started, letting the legislature go on a spending orgy and claiming voters have to approve some poor written "reforms" or the state is dooooooooooooomed.

How many times does Arnie have to get slapped down at the ballot box before he gives up? This guy is a glutton for punishment. What an economic girly-man
