One of the most valuable classes I took at Gonzaga was a 4th year philosophy class. The professor, a Jesuit priest, ripped the veneer off the mystery of philosophy:

"In philosophy, it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Philosophy is nothing but a bunch of bull$hit."

I worked damn hard to get a B in that class, and it was worth the effort, as I learned I could hold my own in such an environment. 12 of the 14 students were theology majors, with two of us being accounting majors.

It's past time to destroy the notion that the intellectual class, and the "best and brightest", should hold such sway over the rest of the citizenry.

The government has required me to get a master’s degree to remain in my field. So at my advanced age I’m back in school, and the number one thing these people want regurgitated is multiculturalism. I’m fighting the good fight. But the stuff is everywhere. It’s their secular religion.
