PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) - The White House says President Barack Obama is "deeply disappointed" by Iran's sentencing of an American journalist.

A lawyer for journalist Roxana Saberi said Saturday the 31-year-old dual American-Iranian citizen was convicted of spying and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Obama's deputy national security adviser, Denis McDonough, says Saberi is an American reporter who was simply practicing journalism. The U.S. is working with Swiss diplomats in Iran to get details about the court's decision and to ensure Saberi's well-being.

The best way to assure her wellbeing is to call in the Iranian ambassador. Discuss things with him for a while. Suggest they should let her loose to come home.

Then shoot the ambassador right between the eyes.

You know if Bush were still president, the MSM would presume the Iranian court was correct and demand to know why Bush was allowing her to spy using a press pass, thus hurting the integrity of the US press.

But the O is president, so nothing is said.

O is already looking to be worse than Carter. It feels like two years of this radical agenda has passed. He will give them nuke technology and ‘hope’ they don’t ‘change’ their minds about using it.

So...he’s disappointed, huh?

Wow, that will scare the heck out the Iranians.

President Barack 0bama is "deeply disappointed"

Wow! Such harsh words!!! Might get a mullah miffed at that!!! I am sure Ahmadinejad is quaking in his boots...

Is "deeply disappointed" part of the official liberal handbook of language? Seems that was a certain politician from the Dakota's (and one-time attempted cabinet appointee who, as many others - didn't pay his taxes)...

Oh, oh. The teleprompter might escalate to italics.

Must keep things in persective, however. We oughtn't resort to boldface unless the reporter is executed.

Perhaps a timely apology would help as well.

I bet the Friday night -after prayers- crowd is “deeply disappointed” as well that the Friday night public stoning main event has been canceled. They are just going to have to be satisfied with the hand choppings, eye plucking and fag hanging by their ankles from a 150 foot crane ‘warm up events this week.

Unfortunately there is no such person, because we don't have relations with Iran. If we shot the Iranian ambassador to, say, Germany, there would be repercussions.

“deeply disappointed” ...eh...not as much as the Reporter being Sentenced, I’m sure.

Quite a Contrast from the Pirate “Event” to this Iran “Event”.

Military solution vs. a Talking Solution....one can only hope that BHO is smarter than a 5th grader, and can comprehend the difference.

LOL! I'd like to use that as my tag line... if I could figure out how to set one.

And if that doesn't work, perhaps a sternly worded letter will make them see the error of their ways. I'm sure every dictatorship, terrorist group or general bad guy lives in quaking fear of a note from Obama or the U.N. with discordant undertones.
