Ex-CIA chiefs slowed ‘torture memos’ release (but Traitor Obama did it anyway!)

Four former CIA directors opposed releasing classified Bush-era interrogation memos, officials say, describing objections that went all the way to the White House and slowed release of the records.

Former CIA chiefs Michael Hayden, Porter Goss, George Tenet and John Deutch all called the White House in March warning that release of the so-called "torture memos" would compromise intelligence operations, current and former officials say. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in order to detail internal government discussions.

President Barack Obama ultimately overruled those concerns after internal discussions that intensified in the weeks after the former directors intervened. The memos were released Thursday.

He's just using the ACLU and this so-called objections as his excuse out of responsibility.

I oppose releasing classified Bush-era interrogation memos!

Don't give Janet Renolitano any ideas how to interrogate right wing extremists!

.. and keep those classified Clinton-era Waco documents away from her! Please!

Obama’s feeling a backlash of immense proportion from the CIA and they will never forget what he just did.

He sure is making lots of new enemies, seemingly every day. It could end up helping us out in the long run, as more & more people start to wake up.

So sad.... when DC explodes in a nuclear fireball ... will we be happy that we didn’t slap any prisoners?

If we just called is S&M, Janet the Dike would have approved it.

LOL@torture.

No biggie, give a heads up to the terrorists so they can figure out how to respond and resist the old outdated interrogation techniques then hit them with some new ones.

Our guys on the ground are pretty smart

The “intelligence” and lack of military savvy of “Present” Obama doesn't trickle down, it stops right at a line drawn in the sand called “reality”

The trickle tickle is for the Matthews', Olbermanns and the Madd OW!s

Obama is a Muslim and because of that is against the CIA and the United States of America. His priorities are Muslim priorities, not OURS.

Released them but refuses to prosecute.

This is the same tactic a detective might use. Release a key suspect along with a BIG "Thank you for your cooperation" and then let's the street know it.

This is zero getting dirty work done without getting his hands dirty. When I see this man I am looking directly at the devil himself.

"This is zero getting dirty work done without getting his hands dirty."

It's a little more sinister than that but no less dirty tricks.

Recall that a day or two before these top secret "torture techniques" were released, Obama allowed a Gitmo inmate to make a personal call to al-Jazeera where he described in detail his being tortured. That story made headlines around the world.

A few days later, Osama releases secret memos on Bush's torture techniques.

Prosecute whom? This is one of those 'when did you stop beating your wife?' routines.

It is about time to try that old “panties-on-the-head” trick to see if that still works.

The Times is no longer needed for security leaks. They are now officially redundant.

He probably cut a deal with Spain and promised to release ‘evidence’ they could use in their Bush Cheney trial.

Just from the directors. The lefties in the CIA who loved to leak to the Times are probably applauding.
