If Obama can be president without proving he’s a natural born citizen of the U.S., then we have a right to secede.

Thirty-one percent (31%) of Texas voters say that their state has the right to secede from the United States and form an independent country.

Someone inform Geraldo Rivera.

“Overall, seven percent (7%) of Texas voters have views that align with America’s Political Class or lean in that direction”

“the same as the national average”, apparently.

There is a “Political Class”, that has “Aligned Views”, and this is fine, we’re talking about that now?

How come Rasmussen and Pew never do polls like:

"Only 20% of Americans believe President Obama when he says there are 57 states..."

or

"Only 34% of Americans believe Nancy Pelosi when she says 500 million Americans are losing their jobs every month..."

It depends upon which poll you look at.

I think that was about the same poll numbers that the Tar-heels of North Carolina had in 1860 and early 1861. And boy how quickly the Federals changed that poll around? Them same Tar-heels eventually fielded the some of meanest hard fightingest sons-a-#itches in the war. And I'm proud as hell my ancestors were among them.

31% of Texans are too stupid to realize that their state cannot secede from the Union.

I thought when Texas joined the union, it got a pre-nup and reserved the right to secede.

Obama has been in office for less than 3 months, and already 31% of Texans are ready to secede. At that rate, the entire state will be ready after he’s been in office around a year. I see this report like the cup is half full. LOL Another thing to consider is that Texas is a huge state, and although I’m not sure how many people live in Texas, I know that 31% would be several million people. It’s not like Razzy took this poll in New Hampshire. 31% of the people who live in NH wouldn’t be very many, compared to 31% in Texas.

Just think, if Texas leaves, some other state will have a shot at crowning Miss Americas... and America can look somewhere other than Texas for Presidents (although I don't see good candidates on the rise here anyway, at least not any who'd WANT the job).

And the Democrats would have an electoral vote edge.

Can Texas even survive without statehood. Before California’s financial difficulties, I think that state was the 10th best economy in the world. I am unsure where they rank now. Texas was not even on the radar screen so financially it might not be a great idea. What would Texas do? Become part of Mexico? Would it be the country of Texas. This is just weird and unnecessary. Would they come crawling back on their butts after Sarah becomes President? If they do this, I would hope we would not take any state back. How embarassing.

I just read the reference material on texas and it being able to be divided into 4 more states (4 states total). Well here’s the kicker...when it divides those states are NOT automatically made to be states...they have to be accepted to the union to be a state.

So what happens if they divide out the entire state and leave a very small part of the state as Texas and create the new territory as the territory of texas (not yet a state). So that area that is not yet a state will in effect not be part of the US until the US adopts it as a state. If they get enough states to agree to vote against accepting them in...then they could in fact be a separate nation.
