However the $ 8 a week tax credit for only one year should stimulate you a lot. This is the Obama so called tax cut which the greatest in history of mankind (extreme sarcasm).

Our checks went up on March 13th. The increase was $15.93 per paycheck.

My employer did the same thing to me. Offset my reduction with an increase in health care costs that I have to bare, thanks.

If a Republican cut taxes and people only got $3 a week, it would be labeled a joke. Barry does it and he’s a genius.
What happened to this country, or this world for that matter?

Remember, this is NOT a tax cut. This is merely a reduction in withholding. Come April 15th, 2010, you will owe taxes on the “tax cut”. Our payroll expert at work suggested we submit a new W2, to avoid penalties from being under-withheld. I wonder if this is not a new way to raise revenue, and further indenture us to the good ole Feds.

Yeah, it’s not like you can buy a muffler with that tax cut or anything.

I wonder why no one is complaining that the stimulus checks from last spring were just a reduction in withholding that turned into a bigger tax bill for 2008. I sure noticed when I wrote my check to the IRS yesterday.

I was sorely tempted to not send my check yesterday and inform the IRS that I had decided to work in the Obama administration.

This reminds me of the Clinton years, when Clinton “gave” us a college tuition tax break and the colleges raised tuition for the exact amount of the tax credit.

Dh’s dues went up $1.50 a week too but they normally do then because it is their yearly contract raise time too.

I disagree with your Payroll Administrator.
I say we all claim 20 dependents and starve the Government of revenue until April 2010. Just pay the penalty next year and screw them all. In the mean time, you keep your own money until the very last minute before they steal it away from you.
Payroll Withholding is like being robbed every week instead of once a year.
We have become a Nation of Indentured Servants with the Government using Payroll Deductions and an oppressive Tax System to rule the Sheeple.

We’re self employeed, so we pay quarterly income tax. I truly believe if there was NO withholding and everyone had to write a check they’d have a fit over how much they are actually paying.
