When do we pack?!?
There goes any shot at the presidency. This will be used against him for sure.
I was there. Perry had some good “pep” talk but no particulars. I would have loved to hear him say “Here is what I have told Obama and here is what I will tell Obama and here are specifics as to how I’m going to govern Texas toward small government and liberty”. But, no — just platitudes.
I think he has seized on the 10th amendment states’ rights issue as “red meat” that will get him re-elected, and he may be right.
Can we trust him to make it more than just talk? I’m not convinced yet. But I “hope”.
This worries me with the broad Napolitano....
>> There goes any shot at the presidency.
No problem.
Rick Perry is NOT presidential material.
He could be President of the country of Texas.
I don’t love their weather but I’d think about moving.
Let’s roll. It’s time.
I agree... But I think he has intentions.
If he was semi-serious about the borders maybe.
Presidential material today appears to be if you have Saudi money backing you, you refuse to release your birth certificate, you suck up to Islamic terrorists, you want to bankrupt the USA in 6 months or less, etc ect.
I think you get the picture.
Who cares? He’s standing up on principle and the 10th amendment of the United States Constitution. I’d be more inclined to vote for him because he stands up to the thugs and tyrants in the DemoRAT party.
THE TEXAS CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 1. BILL OF RIGHTS
Sec. 1. FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States.
Sec. 2. INHERENT POLITICAL POWER; REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT. All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.
Texas is big enough to have any kind of weather you want, just depends on the area you live in.
Well, you know what they say.
“Secession is good, clean fun until somebody tries to take your property away.”
Sounds like Perry is really trying to hard to secure the conservative base for his primary challenge from KBH.
I’ve got mixed feelings on Perry given his past wind checking on illegal immigration.
That said he does seem to have settled pretty firmly on the side of border security for quite a while now.
Will keep watching.
Not if Texas leaves the Union, then I’ll be moving to Texas.
