I was just at the Presidio of Bahia in Goliad a few days ago. While there, I was in an antique shop where I purchased a history book on Goliad, and specifically the Presidio. There was an interesting chapter about Col Fannin, the leader of the Texans in Goliad. The author was very critical of Fannin saying that his indecision, and his apparent jealousy of Sam Houston, led to the deaths of 300 heroes.
