My daughter just called from University of Florida and told me that she attended a Tea Party with 2-300 attending. My mother called from Kentucky and she is attending a Tea Party in Madisonville. She will call later with crowd estimates, but it was cold when she arrived and said there were only about 75 at that time. She will also call in later with crowd estimates. Both are taking pictures to send me later.

A police officer orders a National Tax Day demonstrator out of Lafayette Park after a suspicious package was reportedly thrown over the fence at the White House in Washington, April 15, 2009. REUTERS/Jim Young

Note: The "suspicious package" tossed over the fence at this tea party protest turned out to be ... tea. Imagine that!

Americans in all 50 states are holding rallies on Thursday -- the day US tax returns are due -- to protest higher taxes and what they denounce as out-of-control government spending. (AFPTV)
Note: The above photo is a cropped shot of BufordP's sign in DC today. For some reason, the AFP couldn't stomach posting his entire sign. Here it is:

Hey BufordP! I think you offended the French press with your sign.

Good work, fella!
