Global Warming Is 'Very Real for Us,' Palin Says

(AP) — ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin acknowledged Tuesday that global warming was harming her state but said stepped-up natural-gas production could mitigate its effects.

Speaking at a hearing before Interior Secretary Ken Salazar -- the third of several he is holding to consider renewed oil and gas leasing on the Outer Continental Shelf -- Palin said that relatively clean-burning natural gas could supplant dirtier fuels and slow the discharge of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

"We Alaskans are living with the changes that you are observing in Washington," she said. "The dramatic decreases in the extent of summer sea ice, increased coastal erosion, melting of permafrost, decrease in alpine glaciers and overall ecosystem changes are very real to us."

Then what explains your total failure to produce any contrary list or any substantive rebuttal of the several exact quotes provided?

The reason is obvious. Ain't got nada!

I didn't suggest she was wacky or way out there.

Can you read? I didn't say you said she was. But I did say you might be.

What part of transcript do you not understand?

What makes you think I don't understand? You're ignoring my reasoning about a partial transcript and how the MSM uses them all the time to remove things out of context. You just keep on with your twisting of things. Twisting things does seem to be your special skill.

My head is out of the sand. Problem is, I don’t appreciate people who play gotcha and use commie Couric to do it.

Global Warming Is 'Very Real for Us,' Palin Says

You are about to lose my vote and my support, Sarah. I know that you haven't declared your candidacy yet, but if it's really true that you actually believe in the phony science of global warming, then you're done, as far as I'm concerned.

And, I'm one that actually went to two of your rallies here in Florida. I'm very disappointed right now with you, Sarah.

Now, if not Sarah, then we really need to start looking for a conservative that actually believes in the "really real science", not the "real science" that Obama speaks of.

See ,I used the words global warming and you reacted just like I said people do in my previous post.

You're hallucinating. You said this:

"Her statements were taken out of context to create the impression that she believes in man made global warming."

And that wasn't any part of my point. I didn't 'react' to anything other than what you said - that it was to 'create an impression she believes in manmade g.w. - that was no part of the AP piece or my understanding of it. Only that she bought into global warming itself, which is quite apparent from what she said.

The data on _your_ global warming skeptic site is different than mine - which is mainly Chris Horner, who points out that it is highly questionable whether there is any warming at all from the baseline that the wackos use because their computer models are wrong and their data collection is 'cooked' both figuratively and literally with temp stations near A/C's, blacktop parking lots and above barbeques. You can have the last word. I'm outta here.

I've already explained.

Every one of your sourceless, quoteless assertions have failed badly.

Yeah... I’m still waiting for the “long list” and “vast” amount of quotes that are contrary
to the sourced quotes that have been posted.

I won’t hold my breath.

Would you agree that the earth’s climate has been cooling over the last few years. If you do how about we make up a name for it and call this period global cooling. Someday the cooling period will end and the earth will warm again. Since we called the cooling period we are in global cooling, how about we call this future warming period global warming. The arguement is not about whether the earth is warming or cooling but about whether human activity has any significant effect on the climate. I have no doubt that human activity affects the earth’s climate about as much as a gnat affects an elephant. I do believe in climate change because over any length of time the climate is constantly changing. Bet my use of the words climate change caused you to react.

The MSM was at it’s very worst today... as bad as I’ve ever seen it... and it would be a toss up if CNN was worse than MSNBC or vis-versa.
