U.S. says recession fueling right-wing extremism

MIAMI (Reuters) - Right-wing extremists in the United States are gaining new recruits by exploiting fears about the economy and the election of the first black U.S. president, the Department of Homeland Security warned in a report to law enforcement officials.

The April 7 report, which Reuters and other news media obtained Tuesday, said such fears were driving a resurgence in "recruitment and radicalization activity" by white supremacist groups, antigovernment extremists and militia movements. It did not identify any by name.

DHS had no specific information about pending violence and said threats had so far been "largely rhetorical."

But it warned that home foreclosures, unemployment and other consequences of the economic recession "could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists."

"To the extent that these factors persist, right-wing extremism is likely to grow in strength," DHS said.

It did not identify any by name.

Yes, Reuters they did.

For one, they said military veterans.

This administration sickens me more each day.

Is there anything in the report on “left wing extremists,” such as Code Pink?

(crickets)

Americans seeking to defend the Constitution are radicals but illegal aliens, any number of which are terrorists, should be granted amnesty according to socialists.

Clinton did the same thing in the 1990’s. Claims of Right Wing Militias. They never called me.

No, the “U.S.” is NOT “saying” this.

Obama’s Department of Homeland Security is saying this,

and they have, in typical leftist fashion, decided to criminalize those who oppose their policies.

Hmm . . . methinks this will allow them a convenient segue in reporting the tea parties . .

The terms “right wing” and “extremism” themselves have been redefined by the Left’s shadow government.

The Presidential Campaign of John McCain ALSO fueled the Right Wing in ways that Obama, the Pravda Media, and even John McCain did not approve.

No violence. No threats. Just rhetoric on issues that they disagreed with.

It’s not the recession that’s fueling things, it’s the SOCIALISM!

And patriotism isn’t “right wing extremism”.

Yes, designed to counter the protests of tomorrow.

And, MrB - that headline is amazing, isn't it? The leftists in the MSM are doing all they can to pit the people against each other....thereby distracting from what the administration is doing.

If you want an idea of who is being PROFILED as a “right wing extremist”, read this excerpt:
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=94803

“The report from DHS’ Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines right-wing extremism in the U.S. as “divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups) and those that are mainly anti-government, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”

I am not registered with any “RIGHT WING EXTREMIST GROUP OR GROUPS”. The group that I like to be associated with is about 3” at 200 yards.

I WILL NOT GET INTO THE BOXCAR.

Then they will bring the Boxcar to you.

Bockscar, sometimes called Bock's Car or Bocks Car, is the name of the United States Army Air Forces B-29 bomber that dropped the "Fat Man" nuclear weapon over Nagasaki on 9 August 1945, the second atomic weapon used against Japan.

Now that we have embraced Cuba, we are embracing its methods.

Cuba criminalized political dissent. So the US is now doing, pretending it is for "security" reasons.

Is it that, or is it that the left is trying to force a confrontation so that they have an excuse to use [deadly] force against dissenters?

According to a famous international “anti-fascist” organization that rioted in Toledo Ohio, you are a member of a fascist group merely by being registered with FreeRepublic. PS, they also branded President Bush a fascist.

The media never identified their own organization as an anarchist collective that also promoted disobedience against police.

They don’t know what “fascist” means, and wouldn’t recognize it if it was in power in the White Hut and both Houses of Congress... ooops... it is.

“it warned that home foreclosures, unemployment and other consequences of the economic recession “could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists.”

Economic stupidity by Democrats creates Republican voters...

Gee... Who’d a thunk it.
I can see why the current Democrat-run government would consider that a threat worthy of LAW ENFORCEMENT INVOLVEMENT. Hello thought police.

The whole point is to make the “Tea-bagger’s” look like crazy radicals that “normal people” don’t want to be involved with, like what happened to the militia movement after Oklahoma city.

You don’t want your good name associated with “THOSE PEOPLE”, do you?

I really hope all of you who “Stayed home to prove a point!” and Paulista folks realize you are getting EVERYTHING you didn’t bother to vote for!
