Who's poised to lead the Republican party out of the woods? John McCain seems convinced that one GOP notable is not the person for the job, someone he's quite familiar with - his former running mate.
On Monday's "Tonight Show," Jay Leno asked the Arizona Senator to name the new guiding lights of the Republican party, and McCain was quick to rattle off a list of "young, dynamic" governors around the country.
Palin wasn't one of them.
McCain singled out Lousisana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Florida Gov. Charlie Christ, Minnesota's Tim Pawlenty, and Mitt Romney, McCain's chief rival for the Republican presidential nod in 2008.
In case anyone missed his conspicuous omission of Palin, McCain then added, "And I've left out somebody's name, and I'm gonna hear about it."

thank you - I thought I was alone out here
The further Sarah is away from Juan the better I like her.
I told everyone for two years that I wouldn’t vote for McCain, no matter what.
I only relented because Palin was on the ticket.
McCain is the same smarmy faithless little roach he has always been.
Sorry, regarding the pictures. I am HTML challenged.
Hey, I thought the stack o’ buckwheats on the noggin gig was reserved for clueless freebs like Jimmuh Carter and 0bomative Action.
That picture was painted by a Freeper actually ...
Please don’t judge Panamanians according to how their fellow Panamanian, John McCain, behaves. Even his fellow countrymen don’t like him. No one would ever vote for him for president of Panama anyway although he could legitimately run for president next month.
Sarah doesn't not need his vote, when she has our vote already.
The more the insiders blame Sarah and others for the problem, the more she will be looked to for answers.
What a pleasure this past november to vote Palin/McCain.
John had one last chance when he should have stood up against the TARP and voted NO at the top of his lungs. When he voted yes, he proved he was one of them.
Then he really blew it when he said, Bambi is not so bad. You will like him.
He never got it as to why so many conservative had to pinch their nose hard when they voted.
nice - that’s one of the absolute best of a stellar crop....
P.S.
He and Juan Williams were both born in Colon, Republic of Panama.
The difference is I happen to like Juan.
RE: “Wake up Arizona and vote this guy out. Enough already!”

Agree! And the sooner McCain is GONE, the sooner that obnoxious daughter of his will disappear from the scene as well. A pox on both of them.
I can’t believe the body that woman has! Flat tummy, curvy hips, taut thighs, unbelievable!
If I still lived in Arizona, I’d even vote for a demonrat if that person could retire mcCain.
I want to that candidate read from the Declaration of Independence, and highlight all of the ways that we have gotten off track from that document.
I want a candidate who sees our nations greatness and isn't afraid of it.
That's a start anyway...
And a mother of five.
Hey McAmnesty, I have a list of GOP Stars and YOU are not on it.
