Sad to say, Republicans only served to empower Obama to pull off this nonsense by looking the other way when Bush shreded the personal liberty and privacy of American citizens through such policies as allowing the NSA to snoop without restriction on the phone calls of American citizens. Perhaps now...conservatives will finally realize the need to uphold civil liberties against executive encroachment....though I doubt it.

These are just early signs of what Obama has in mind: National Socialism. For those who don’t know anything about history, that was Hitler’s party, the Nazis.

dangerous right-wing radicals Hmmmm...so, what sort of things do you think that this group (seems like I'm included) are predicted to do?
I'm going to vote Republican in 2010 to try to take over the house or senate - me bad?

Facts messed up? Take a look at
this. Folks on this site paid little attention to this story last year. Had Obama done the same thing (he probably is) they would have screamed bloody murder. Nobody will conservatives seriously unless they similarly vigilent against the anti-civil liberties policies of Republican Presidents.

It would be more appropriate and truthful if that Federal agency warned all of us about the danger of the radicals on the left.

Homeland Security will keep their eyes pealed for those “Right Wing Terrorists”, while home grown Jihadis and Al Qaeda plot our demise.

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and
the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias. A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

In January, the same DHS office released a report titled "Leftwing extremists likely to increase use of cyber attacks over the coming decade." "These types of reports are published all the time. There have actually been some done on the other end of the spectrum, left-wing," Ms. Kuban said. A similar headline was used in a report issued in January, Ms. Kuban said, although she could not provide the content of the headline. Ms. Kuban said she did not know how long the new report had been in the making.I can't seem to find this posted on FR. Any idea if it actually exists?

As recently as 20 years ago, American embassies had State Department officers on staff whose job was to negotiate for release of political prisoners in countries like Chile and Cuba.
And now? We’ll be funding communism in Cuba and arresting Americans in the USA for dissent.
I think I’ll move to Cuba.
