The Jewish sabbath was on Saturday keeping with the tradition of the creation week. Christians moved from Saturday to Sunday celebrating the day of the week when Christ rose from the dead that allowed us to have eternal rest.

Basically. Is this news to you? The Sunday vs. Saturday/Lord's Day vs. Sabbath debate has been well documented going back to the early church. There are whole books on the subject.
