It may sound incongruous, but for her generation it's not terribly uncommon.
Recently, I seemed to have rocked a few individuals within my party by saying that I am a pro-life, pro-gay-marriage Republican. So if anyone is still confused, let me spell it out for you. I believe life begins at conception and I believe that people who fall in love should have the option to get married.
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: airhead; gaymarriage; homosexualagenda; marriage; mcbama; mccain; mccaintruthfile; mcqueeg; meghanmccain; meghanmcinsane; rino; rinoalert; rinoette; rinoparty

I get pretty irritated when pundits claim that my generation and the one after mine are pro-choice and pro-gay marriage. I realize that they chose to sample from liberal-arts schools, but it really gets under my skin. Following their logic, why aren’t all the baby-boomers a bunch of communists.

I am so sick of words being redefined as it fits ones political goals. Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is impossible, not illegal, for people of the same sex to be married. Marriage is not a simple legal term. I don’t care if gay folks sign all the contracts between themselves that make them happy and I don’t care what type of laws are passed. It will never be marriage.

I think Meghan McCain's an idiot, but she's right on this. Young people who come from pro-abortion homes are less likely to be pro-abortion than their parents. Social scientist are baffled by this. I'm not. It's simple science and the tremendous advances in 3D ultra-sound technology. Young people today have the benefit of seeing what their parents could only imagine - the baby growing in utero at just a couple months.
As for the homo marriage. It's the "Will & Grace" effect. The today's young people have grown up in an environment where the gay advocates have done a remarkable job of inserting their propaganda into every segment of pop culture. Young people just don't care about gays in the same way their parents may.

It’s safer to be held hostage by Somali pirates than to be caught between a McCain and a news camera.

Same sort of dizzy thinking based on absolutley nothing but her own opinion as democrat. The Libs must be doing backwards cartwheels while LTAO.
In this brave new wolrd we all get to make up what we think is true - Me? I believe in Land rights for transgender, leather bound equal opportunity whales who want to marry. See that really wasn’t hard was it!

Marriage is a Sacrament in the Catholic Church. The government should not even be using the word. Let there be Civil Unions.

The emerging GOP opinion. That old pro-life horse, even though only ridden every four years, is no longer a winner and has been shipped to the glue factory. Don’t waste your vote, vote your principles, vote Third.

Why are there so many Meghan McCain threads on FR? What is the fascination with this 20-something? Does anyone really care?
Granted, she has only slightly fewer creds than the current POTUS, but can we not make a habit of putting the spotlight on lightweight do-nothings?
Can we please just ignore her and let her get back to growing up?

You confused me here... McCain (John) is pro-life, not pro-abortion.

Republican Commissars Warning: By joining this ping list, you may be subjected to the delusional rants and ramblings of McCainiacs, of "moderate" Republicans, of pragmatic conservatives resigned to voting for the lesser of two Democrats, and of countless RNC shills who simply want to meet a new overlord. |
