"Alan Keyes' Tea Party Address - A Man and a Voice for Our Times"

My good friends in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania attended their “Tea Party” yesterday (April 11, 2009) and filmed the rousing speech of Dr. Alan Keyes. I wish I could have been there but thanks to Ted Voron of VoronOsphere Productions, I feel as though I was.

The last time I posted a Dr. Keyes “speech” - I wrote a long passionate introduction. There is nothing that I would dare to add to this speech other than to tell you that there will be four installments due to the time limitations of Youtube.

The only other thing I will add is to advise you to get your Kleenex ready because anyone who has even a diminutive degree of patriotic sensibility will find those emotions rising through their body and out their eyes and nostrils. No matter how remotely hidden, no matter how long your inspiration may have been dormant, if you don't find it during this speech, it was probably never there.

Once again I want to give plaudits to VoronOsphere Productions for their excellent production. Without further ado, here is the one of the most profound voices for our times, one overflowing with substance that equals his passion, a voice that will be tapped into by our posterity for a history lesson on the next American Revolution, in the raw, without the need for a teleprompter – here is the man who SHOULD have been our first black President and would be a great choice for President of the Confederacy - Dr./Ambassador Alan Keyes:

Now they’re talking about “getting back to their roots”.

So much stuff and nonsense. It was my fervent hope that upon losing the election, the Bakerites would be swept from power in the Republican party. But the old moderate leadership has been replaced by the new moderate leadership.

SOSDD.

I abandoned the Republican party in midsummer 2007 after 27 years of loyal and active membership. With the leadership that is now in place, the Republicans having made their choices, I will certainly be joining the AIP.

And I will work locally and nationally to bring my friends and network to the AIP's aid... Those friends and that network, by the way, having once been fully Republican, but which does not have a single Republican member anymore.

A house divided cannot stand. The Republicans can go their way without Conservative support. And it is the way of the Whigs.

Name me one third party that has won since the start of the republican party and I might agree with you. The republicans weren’t always right. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. Obama certainly isn’t the first democrat to give the liberals a bad name either. Carter was. The only reason Clinton didn’t look as bad as he was is because of the republican Congress. I have no reason to give up on what the true republicans have done and I’m willing to recognize it and see it through.

You’re also forgetting that it was the people who chose McCain, not the RNC. And it was Paul and Keyes who ran on their own tickets instead of pulling together under one umbrella and scoring a win.

Agreed, he gives great speeches. Keyes and Ron Paul make several onkey conservative points. I just wish they’d unite and come under one banner and we will win again. I’ve talked to too many people who voted for McCain because they were convinced third parties never win and McCain was the lesser of two evils. I’m still asking. What would have happened if we had the split-ticketed votes? We need a united party and it needs to start with people like them coming back to the party and helping to rebuild it.

There’s greater danger in splitting up than there is in unification. I don’t agree with Keyes leaving the party. Hell, he was given ambassador by a republican. They don’t hate him. But he’s the type of guy that you can’t tell him he’s wrong and I’m not the first to say that either. Even when he knew that going it alone in a handful of states on a separate ticket was giving votes to Obama. It may be principle, and he’s great at that. But he sucks at strategy and now we are stuck with Obamass. Was any conservative’s principles served by that? What would have happened if they stood as one party and worked their differences through?

Correction: What would have happened if we did NOT split-ticket the votes?
