Agreed, he gives great speeches. Keyes and Ron Paul make several onkey conservative points. I just wish they’d unite and come under one banner and we will win again. I’ve talked to too many people who voted for McCain because they were convinced third parties never win and McCain was the lesser of two evils. I’m still asking. What would have happened if we had the split-ticketed votes? We need a united party and it needs to start with people like them coming back to the party and helping to rebuild it.
There’s greater danger in splitting up than there is in unification. I don’t agree with Keyes leaving the party. Hell, he was given ambassador by a republican. They don’t hate him. But he’s the type of guy that you can’t tell him he’s wrong and I’m not the first to say that either. Even when he knew that going it alone in a handful of states on a separate ticket was giving votes to Obama. It may be principle, and he’s great at that. But he sucks at strategy and now we are stuck with Obamass. Was any conservative’s principles served by that? What would have happened if they stood as one party and worked their differences through?
Correction: What would have happened if we did NOT split-ticket the votes?
