If posters are acting like DUmmies and attacking Obama with utterly no information as to how things transpired, I will call them on such.
I am very pleased that Captain Phillips has been rescued and is safely on board the USS Boxer. His safety has been our principal concern, and I know this is a welcome relief to his family and his crew.
I am also very proud of the efforts of the U.S. military and many other departments and agencies who worked tirelessly to secure Captain Phillips’s safe recovery.
We remain resolved to halt the rise of piracy in this region. To achieve that goal, we must continue to work with our partners to prevent future attacks, be prepared to interdict acts of piracy and ensure that those who commit acts of piracy are held accountable for their crimes.
I share the country’s admiration for the bravery of Captain Phillips and his selfless concern for his crew. His courage is a model for all Americans.

It sounds like we were waiting for Captain Phillips to make a second escape attempt.
I believe it was Obama's pussyfooting around that prevented us from rescuing him the first time he jumped in the water.

Well he did open an investigation a few days ago, about how to deal with the pirate problem in the future. Maybe he’s trying to compensate for having been swiftboated as a feckless “veteran,” but who cares as long as a sensible answer is reached.
Sounds like Phillips is getting most of the plaudits. It will be interesting to learn what really happened.
And it turns out they had run out of ammo after firing on a launch approaching the lifeboat. Tire them out further after that, get the SEAL team in place, wait until 4 in the morning when persons are least cognizant, and give 'em a wake-up call with a flash-bang.
