Let us praise the Lord for the freeing of the brave Captain and give great thanks to our awsome military for freeing him.
As far as Obama is concerned he failed the test on the first day of the crisis where all this would have been resolved if he gave the orders to do so. His great weakness in this situation and us taking five days to resolve a relatively easy problem have greatly emboldened Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Iran, North Korea and a host of other enemies.

Watching CNN now for further details. Three of four pirates killed and the Captain has not been injured...perfect! If this was accomplished by our military without a penny of ransom being paid, all involved deserve a heros welcome home. Now lets go in and clean up that rats nest on the coast of Somalia.
Clean up the "rats nests?" Why? There is no need. The Democrats have declared the WOT is over and in fact there never was a WOT. Its all just a "racist/capitalist-pig invention of the neocon Repugnican Bush-Cheney Cabal". Just chant upon the Marxist Messiah and believe in all his Pop-Culture wonderfulness and all will be wellll...

Your right. There was enough time to have SEALs under the lifeboat the first time brave Captain Phillips jumped out, but IMO Obama and his handlers were holding back.
The complete details of the rescue should not be revealed, and in fact should not.
Lets hope loose lips Obama doesn't leak everything.

"Why werent the pirates ALL killed?"
The surviving pirate was shot and injured and in custody. That may be a good thing - think intel.

Good point. They’d edit any interview down to: “Thank. You. President. Obama.”

Doesn't count if he wasn't read his rights. Since Obama suspended the military tribunals the only option is for a civilian trial in which this surviving pirate is granted Constitutional Rights.

Well let's make sure ACLU treats them with dignity and respect and affords them all the rights bestowed by the nation they tried to get ransom from.
Do i need a sarc tag?

I hope they kept the pirate negotiating until the captain walked in the room. The look on that pirate’s face would be priceless.

Which of our warriors completed this mission? My guess: The Easter SEALS!

Great news.
The way I see it:
The captain saved himself.
The Navy responded as trained.
Zero voted present.

As to what 0bama ordered and when, we know not. Those pirates in that life boat weren’t going anywhere. We have to win the little victories because in this war on terror most victories are little ones.
However, to not follow up by hitting the pirates ashore would be a defeat.

That’s an excellent point- it’s just unbelievable that this happened.
