I did not call them DUmmies. I said they were going down the road taken by the DUmmies in bashing Bush no matter what Bush said or did, and bashing him without facts. Big difference.

Exactly correct.
The military of the US is amazing with regards to the sheer skill and discipline they display.
Yet with all the credit they display and credit they should recieve, I can’t help but get the impression that the MSM is already being told to push the “obama did it” stories.
Muzzle velocity over distance equals the bastard pirates were dead before they heard the shots that killed them. Good.
One of the many reasons why SEALs stay away from cameras and shun attention; their identities are normally kept confidential.
BS, that's just semantics.Broadbrushing Free Republic because of a few uninformed posts (like several of yours) and bashing of posters by calling them DUmmies (that would be you) makes you and a few other posters look stupid.I did not call them DUmmies. I said they were going down the road taken by the DUmmies in bashing Bush no matter what Bush said or did, and bashing him without facts. Big difference.
Sorry but your guy Obama is going to be called out on his ineptitude and treated with all the respect that the leftists treated President Bush while he was in office.
Your lie of the "if" wasn't answered, and you blast people for not pinging you when they talk about you, but you had no problem mentioning me and not giving me a ping.
I don't really care about being pinged to your pompous posts and you are guilty of almost everything you accuse other of.
Your constant bragging about your sign-up date doesn't give you credibility, just makes you look like you think you are better than anyone that signed up after you.
And your comment to one poster that he runs repeatedly around the forum calling old-timers DU trolls is a lie.
Sorta like your fake quote.
Don’t really know how it all went down.
I would bet the Capt. said he had to go, and then told them “Here, hold this”. So of course they untied him.
A SEAL in the water yells “JUMP” and the Capt. dives in. The pirates poke their heads up to see what is happening, and POP! POP! POP!, goes the weasels.
I thought I saw where the other one may have been injured. Him, being used to the sway and roll of little boats, and not the instability of large ships, probably lost his balance a little and bumped his head.
But this is all just a guess.
“NPR will be in the Seals parents driveways in the morning asking about how they feel about their killer sons”
Don’t know. It depends on how many confirmed kills he got.
Based on what I know about Obama so far, no matter what he did with regard to the day's events does not change my opinion of him...and I do not wish to be scolded by posters who are more concerned with how we appear to others or if we will hurt their feelings.
“As far as Obama is concerned he failed the test on the first day of the crisis where all this would have been resolved if he gave the orders to do so. His great weakness in this situation and us taking five days to resolve a relatively easy problem have greatly emboldened Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Iran, North Korea and a host of other enemies. “
Yes, He wants to treat all of this as a “police” action and it will cause great harm to the USA. Just as 9/11 was a result of Clinton’s “police” action attitude.
Another post on the thread indicated the Bainbridge somehow got the boat under tow and the three remaining pirates were stupid enough to show their heads through the rear hatch with SEAL snipers 25 yards away on the fantail. I’m a crappy shot and I probably could have hit that one. With SEALs? Their only decision was which part of the head to aim at. G’night, mate.
Who cares who gets the credit!
TODAY WE WIN!
Agreed.
During the briefing the admiral said the hostage was transferred from the lifeboat to an RBB wearing a life preserver. he was then taken to the Bainbridge. The admiral never agreed with the press that he was in the water a second time. The questions concentrated on how close he was to the shot pirates and there was no clear answer. The hostage was apparently on board at the time of the shooting
My take is that the hostage did not escape into the water a second time
Ala, "So run you cur, run! And tell all the other curs that I'm coming! And hells's coming with me!"
God bless our American warriors.
Exactly true.
Three cheers for the Bush’s Leftist Hating Conservative US Military who wasted those Left Wing Somali terrorist subhuman dirtbags with extreme prejudice despite the inept bumbling of Obama.
To Obama: Go Larry-Sinclair yourself, you “Chicken Hawk” hypocritical fraud.
With God and the Navy SEALs on our side, we don’t need “the world”

The US Navy, despite our dithering government, has shown the world how its done, just like the brave crew of the Maersk Alabama showed the world how brave men stand up against criminal cockroaches.
(CNN) — The American cargo ship captain held hostage by pirates jumped overboard Sunday from the lifeboat where he was being held, and U.S. Navy SEALs shot and killed three of his four captors, according to a senior U.S. official with knowledge of the situation.
Our president, after five days of mulling and pondering, finally unleashed the power of the US Navy, then had this to say:
Obama praised the captain for his bravery and courage. The president also said the United States needs help from other countries to deal with the threat of piracy and to hold pirates accountable.
No we don’t. We don’t need “the world’s” help, unless it is to cry and apologize when we blow these sub-human predators to hell where we belong. No, all we nee need is to unleash the awesome might of the US military and the rest will fall into place.

Obama failed the test on North Korea and he failed the test in this incident. Only the skill of Bush’s military saved the day.
The Pirates are still holding 250 hostages and have 16 Italians on a boat right now. It's great that the Captain was rescued but the problem is still there and I doubt Obama is willing to use military might to end it permanently.
