The vehicles I just described are more for drivers in the West and southern states, where dealing with snow is much less of a problem.

But where winter snows are a problem, we'll be seeing a lot more smaller 4WD SUVs replace the large gas-guzzling SUVs. That's why the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 have done quite well in the US market. And Ford is working on bringing a version on this model:

Ford Kuga

...to the US market within a few years as a replacement for the Ford Escape small SUV.

I like the Escape and Mariner line. They are hardly "gas guzzlers". The Kuga looks like it might get the job done for moving people in a snowy locale, but the back cargo area looks like a big loser. My Mariner/Escape vehicles have the ideal mix of passenger and cargo. I have two sons that are 6' 2 1/2" and one at 6' 0. All three can comfortably sit in the back seat of a Mariner. There is still room for groceries and/or coolers for trips to Yellowstone in the Mariner. It would be a mistake for Ford to dump the Escape/Mariner line. I drove some of the Freestyle vehicles as rentals at Hertz. The Freestyle feels bigger, but wasn't any more functional for me. The current "Flex" offering looks like an ugly box. It reeks of "Honda Element".

That little Ford is pretty neat lookin. I also like the Ford Flex, which I thought would sell well but which I haven’t seen too many of on the road.

People don't want small, no room for the kids or anything else SUVs. People who want SUVs for practical reasons, and that is the majority of SUV owners, want one that is just that: Practical. Having a small, cramped vehicle that doesn't do what SUVs are supposed to do, when you need a large roomy vehicle, is just stupid to say the least. You go ahead and buy your small useless SUVs, I will stick with a large one if I can find it, and if I have to I will buy an older one and keep repairing it.

So, my words to Bozo and the other government pukes, and to people like you also who are obviously libtards at heart, are FO, I don't want your junky, useless pieces of crap!
