“THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY OUR LEADER NEEDS TO HAVE A MILITARY BACKGROUND.”

###

Well I have no military background, but I know enough that if I were CIC I would quickly give the military experts a broad directive as to what I want done, with the understanding that the responsibility would be mine, and mine alone. I would then get out of their way as they work out the tactics and logistics.

0dumbo and his gang haven't passed any tests yet, but you'd never know that from listening to the MSM.

The commander and chief of the strongest military machine the world has ever known against a few homeless men in a dingy with guns. He failed this non crisis, imagine a real crisis!

Here it is: US captain fails in attempt to escape from pirates

Around midnight, the Captain bolted out of the enclosed lifeboat and jumped into the water and, immediately, the Somali pirates jumped into the water right after him.

Again, in the 25th Century, we could have had Scotty ready at the transporter to beam the Captain out as soon as he got a clear lock on him.

But, science fiction fantasy aside, there is not a damned thing that a DDG could have done in that situation without killing the Captain.

I blast Obama as well anybody on FR but blasting him for failure to carry out flights of fantasy does not do our side any good.

“This just needs to come out in print as I think that will be a BIG turning point for the perception of this loser and his utter lack of interest in protecting American citizens.”

The problem is getting the first 8 words of your sentence accomplished. The media played a huge roll in getting this guy elected and will continute to do his bidding and cover for him. The outcome of this drama, no matter what it is will be hugely under-reported and that which is reported will be spun and over in 2 or 3 days.

It is not a made up scenario. Tell me why we do not have a stealth Navy Seals team in the waters next to the boat that would have taken advantage yesterday of the brief moment where the brave Captain attempted to escape but no one there to help him?

What we are telling you is that every DDG in the Navy does not carry around a spare SEAL team. That is not what DDG's are built for.

What we are also telling you that you have a total disregard for the realities of the logistics of physically projecting power in the 21st Century.

See Post 38.

Zero sucks!! We are in big big trouble. He’s already gotten rid of the F-22 which is going to make it hell for us against the Russians.

Obama has already been compared to Jimmy Carter for his economic policies ... I believe the possibility of a failed rescue attempt has the Obama administration terrified to the point of total inaction.

Obambi - the deer in the headlights...

Are you telling me that if there is a Navy Seals team present next to tiny pirates boat and orders were given to interfere they would not be able to free the Captain and kill the pirates during the captain escape attempt yesterday? ***

The Special Forces dudes were already in place and ready to strike and end this thing already, but Zero called them off. It’s nothing more than a soap opera to get the attention turned to how Zero is such an international relations assests. The media can spin this however they wish, because they know the stupid suckers will eat it up hook, line and sinker. This whole mess should have been over with a long time ago. It’s nothing more than a public relations stunt.

It was also no accident that Russia got us kicked out of Manas Air Base just days after Obama took office.

I was thinking the same thing and told my hubby earlier that this situation would have been handled differently had McCain been president! I’m no fan of McCain but for some reason I doubt he would have been soft.

AND if the US Supreme Court would act and make Obama show his birth certificate, we will finally be on our way back to the USA once this usurper is exposed! Stop this nonsense with decimating our country's presence in the world!

Off note, I went to Dr. Orly Taitz's website and it has been hacked.

No matter what at least 80% of those who voted for Obama will never see him doing any wrong.
That is the truth!

Where did you get your information?

The DDG currently at the scene has no helo capabilities and the LHD and the FFG en route that do have helo capabilities have not yet arrived.

How did the " Special Forces dudes" get there?

You ask how would the SEALs get onboard this Navy destroyer?

Rope in as in fast rope

They practice this contingency for boarding ships at sea all the time

“Fast-roping is a technique for descending a thick rope. It is useful for deploying troops from a helicopter in places where the helicopter itself is unable or unwilling to touch” down.

Excuse me, what planet are you living on? Couldn't have done anything? The captain was out of the boat, we could have sunk the boat leaving the pirates helpless in the water with no recourse except to surrender. Unless of course you think the pirates had their weapons with them in the water and even then they would not have been able to kill the captain. Just how do you think we would have killed the captain by sinking the boat when he wasn't in it?

The reason it wasn't sunk was because the Navy obviously has orders to do nothing, given by our Coward in Chief.

BTW, your sh**ty comments to other posters ridiculing them are just another communist tactic. I would bet you are a Bozo apologist, AKA left wing troll.

And how far away was the nearest LHD to fly the SEAL team off of so they could rope down to the DDG?

Once aboard the DDG without all the equipment that is available to them aboard an LHD, then what?

The lifeboat is going nowehere.

What is the hurry to have a DDG do an LHD's job?
