TRACY, Calif. – A California Sunday school teacher was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and killing an 8-year-old girl whose body was stuffed into a suitcase found in an irrigation pond.

Melissa Huckaby, 28, was arrested at 11:55 p.m., about five hours after she drove herself to the station at the request of police, according to Tracy Police Sgt. Tony Sheneman.

Women are guilty of infinitely more crimes than they are ever charged with. Many crimes go "unsolved" because the police refuse to pursue leads when they only point to a female perp.

This was a high-profile case, so they couldn't let it go unsolved because of public pressure.

I was listening earlier to Nova about the life of Jesus. This line made me turn the channel: "There is no evidence that Jesus ever existed."

This woman has a history of instability, as evidenced by the criminal theft charge, but she is a "Sunday School" teacher. Another article reported she was fired from a grocery store job in 2004. She lives with her grandparents.

i live in this same town where this horrific crime took place... just a few miles from Sandra Cantu's home... i am very proud of our Tracy Police Department... for being a smaller town, i think they have handled the investigation beautifully... we are all heartbroken over Sandra Cantu's death... her family is devastated... that it was the mother of her little friend makes all the more bizarre...

Huckaby was a Sunday school teacher at her grandfather's tiny church... it's a very, very small church... i would never have left my kids in their Sunday school because they obviously do not do background checks... criminal backgrounds do matter to them... this gal had a criminal record... she was a Sunday school teacher there because it was her grandfather's church... that's all...

I suspect that if this woman had been the daughter of a Muslim Cleric in the United States, we would never have heard about her being a madrasa leader, because she couldn’t have been one as a woman, and we’d have never heard of her being the the Cleric’s daughter either.

The double standard concerning religion has reached epic proportions here in the United States. Along with illegal immigration, this is a core propaganda topic in our current political climate.

Let’s put something on the record here. All Christians are horrified by this woman’s actions. When Muslim’s carry out their religious teachings in a violent way, it is accepted as the way things ought to be.

So please, media players, pull your heads out of your anal cavities and try to display a smidgen of knowledge as it relates to world religions and their players.

I saw one report yesterday that said she was employed as a Sunday School teacher. LOL, since when to Sunday School teachers earn a living at it? I must be going to the wrong church. Or perhaps, that’s why the media is so confused on matters of religion, in that they attend churches where Sunday School teachers do earn a living at it. Once again LOL...
