HOUSTON -- One person was killed when a group of men tried to steal a boat while driving down a freeway, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said three men in a car tried to steal a boat that a man was hauling with his pickup truck on Interstate 45 at about 1 a.m.
Investigators said the men in the car opened fire on the man in the pickup truck. The man in the pickup truck returned fire, officials said.
One of the men inside the car was killed. The driver of the car stopped at a gas station on North Shepherd Drive for help.
The driver of the pickup truck lost control and ended up a field. There were fish in the boat because the man was returning from a fishing trip at Lake Conroe.
Terrible lack of detail.
The poor fish!
(LOL! Why in the heck is that in the story?)
Texas Somalis not clear on the concept.
lol
Good story though.
One of the men inside the car was killed. The driver of the car stopped at a gas station on North Shepherd Drive for help.
The human race is weird. The writer of this story is the weirdest.
It’s always a great day when you can start off reading such a heartwarming story. Absolutely no sarcasm intended.
This perfectly illustrates the benefit of the concealed weapon law in Texas.
The report sounds like a grden-variety road rage incident. NOTHING in the “report” provides evidence that there was an attempt to steal the boat. Wow. That is some lame “reporting”.

Don’t mess with Texas.
Wrap the idiot in newspaper and eat the fish for dinner...

A shootout between two vehicles ended with one dead and two others in the hospital.
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver fought off alleged would-be robbers by shooting into their car while chasing them overnight.
One of them happened on Shepherd near West Little York in northwest Houston. Police found one person dead and two others wounded inside a white vehicle around 1am in the area near I-45 and Beltway 8
Authorities say the people inside the car were allegedly trying to rob the individuals inside the truck pulling a boat. Police say the suspects fired towards the truck and the truck driver fired back and then began chasing the suspects.
Four people were inside the white car and three of those people were shot. One person died and the two others are in a hospital undergoing surgery.
Authorities say they found weapons inside the car. Police say they have talked to the intended robbery victim. The case will likely be sent to a grand jury to determine if any charges will be filed against the truck driver.
