When media doesn’t check the facts.. The Sandra Cantu case

This morning the news broke regarding the murder of 8 year-old Sandra Cantu. Melissa Huckaby, 28, was arrested and charged on suspicion of kidnapping and killing the young girl. I read this first on Fox News and they had the picture of a Melissa Huckaby, but it was the wrong Huckaby.
The first picture is the correct Huckaby.
Fox has changed the picture, but there is no mention of the mistake. Several other news agencies did the same thing.

I’d be ticked if they put my picture on the news and it was someone else that was the suspect. Though, with my name, I honestly doubt there is another person out there with my first and last name.

My contention is it is lack of what
used to be called Journalism that got the world into the mess it's in -- The fact base has been removed from the population. The world now runs on pseudo everything, where alleged facts, which are often wrong or just flat out lies, are passed on from one person to the next as truths. This is what now drives the public opinion, people believe they are informed, when in fact they have been wronged. And more likely than not, the terminus of that journey ends in a Statist ditch somewhere.
The "as seen on TV", so it must be true, syndrome drives the public discourse. What was once objective news reporting, has been turned on the people, by a bunch of propaganda monger Statists, who seem to think they know what is best.
It's also why "we have to move fast" is the way of Obammunsim and the Statist crisis mentality.
Would Americans knowingly vote for a Marxist, if they in fact understood what that meant? hmm, got to think about that one for a while.

Facts, Truth and unbiased reporting is no longer the objective of what passes for “journalism” today...
If memory serves - the “School of Journalism” is the only department whose student’s average GPA is lower than that of students entering the “School of Education”.....
