Thomas Goldstein, executive director of the Washington Bus Project, and Toby Crittenden, a staff member, were in town as part of the Washington State University Civic Engagement Week. Goldstein had spoken earlier in the day at WSU, along with Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed.
The Washington Bus Project is a liberal Democratic front group posing as a "nonpartisan" youth voter registration and activism group that stirred up controversy in a Vancouver City Council election last year.
Goldstein is a prominent figure in Seattle politics. He ran for an open Seattle City Council seat back in 1997. Seattle Magazine named "relentlessly positive activist" Goldstein as its most influential figure in Seattle politics for 2008.

Bottom line:
The local media has been trying to get the Spokane TV stations to cover this, but no one will bite. Typical. If these guys had been associated with militia or survivalist movements, or were of Middle Eastern origin, I think you would see a whole different level of coverage.
WA state ping!
From Cleveland?
I'll bet they are Methodists!
I do not understand how they can be “alleged” the Pullman police have a cellphone video, made by one of the accused of one of them trying to break into the armory...
Did they have Ron Paul and/or Gadsden Flag bumper stickers?
I have an alibi.
Just looking for the bathroom so they could practice "footsie".
I believe there is a video going around the world showing the Bucking Farack bowing to the Saudi King and White House speaker, “Gibbs”, is saying that it wasn’t a bow!
WSU already has several bathrooms dedicated to that.
If you’re wondering how far the armory is from the PD
It is just over 300 feet from the PD to the Armory...

ping-ing-ing-ing-ing-ing
Hey, _raider. Look what the neighbors are up to.
This is about as bizarre as it gets.
Ping. Just across the state line.
Aw, shucks - what do they have in there that I don’t already have? Well, OK, the howitzers...
Amazing conclusion to the article.
The ones I have been to have a basketball court, a few offices and some beat-up old trucks in the yard. All the good stuff is overseas.
I wonder what they were up to. Seems odd.
Something interesting for an enterprising journalist to investigate might be to compare a schedule of his travels in recent years and compare that to unsolved break-ins. Perhaps this wasn’t his first time? Perhaps there might be an interesting pattern?
