Not as harsh as you may think, at least as compared to the USA... No state or local income taxes in Sweden and for better or worse, the Gubment actually pays for a host of goodies - for everyone, not just illegal aliens (like in the USA).

No, the "Gubment" doesn't pay for a host of goodies; the "Gubment" NEVER pays for anything with anything that it hasn't first taken away from the productive sector of society.

I understand that. The point is that Swedes at least get something in return from their government’s theft of taxpayer money. It doesn’t all go to illegal aliens, section 8 crackheads, and government employee union bums.
