It is down here as well...El Paso area. Seems to be missing from my DNS server? I can get on FR if I use the TOR network.

peculiar....it's like someone erased FR from the domain name server list...all I get is

Address Not Found Firefox can't find the server at www.freerepublic.com.

Maybe others are having DNS problems as well... I even switched DNS servers to Open DNS...still no FreeRepublic. But I can get in using TOR anonymous network.

I use OpenDNS, no problems here. I have found them to be far more reliable and faster than the Comcast DNS servers.

Could be a network problem ...

It’s odd..
But I suppose anyone that can’t get in can’t post here saying they can’t...unless they use TOR or something similar.

If your DNS isn't working how are you posting?

And what the heck is OpenDNS?

I’m on the TOT anonymous network.
Surfing in using a German ip right now.

Even using Free Republic’s actual ip address can’t get me in without TOR. This is very odd.
