NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- Pirates and U.S. warships are racing to the spot in the Indian Ocean where an American sea captain is being held hostage by a handful of pirates.
A Nairobi-based diplomat says the pirates holding Capt. Richard Phillips have summoned assistance. He says skiffs and motherships are heading toward the area from the coast.

The single, PRIMARY, MOST important job of the U.S. government is protecting U.S. national security and U.S. sovereignty.
Every single other thing they do (like "addressing" the housing "crisis") are the distractions.
And whatever happened to "Mutli-Task Man", that wonderful new super-hero who became our president? Didn't Obama make just terrible "fun" of McInsane during the campaign for HIS seeming inability to concentrate on more than one thing at a time?

What exactly does he think the President of the United States does? He certainly has no historical sense of the job.
It's because He's not American.
Not after 12 million illegals are legalized.
If he were serious about stopping this once and for all, he would have ordered the military to level the village the Pirates come from, have already sunk the hostage boat, as well as the other boats coming out with more hostages.
Zero tolerance (no pun intended) is the ONLY policy when dealing with Terrorists. Kill them all and let Allah sort them out!
I’m not sure the USS BAINBRIDGE is really the right ship for this mission, since…

- After delivering the bribe, Bainbridge allowed his ship to be used by the dey of Algiers to carry the Algerian ambassador to Constantinople, and even allowed them to hoist the Algerian flag on a US warship.
- Then, in 1803, in an attempted attack on the Barbary pirates of Tunisia, Bainbridge ran his ship aground in Tripoli harbor and allowed his entire crew to be captured by the pirates and imprisoned for 2-1/2 years.

Saving face is very important to these vermin. The thing to do is have an administration spokesman make a big deal of announcing that the good guys have ‘ordered’ all pirates holding captured vessels and hostages to come to the area ASAP. Then show video all over the world of the ships ‘dutifully’ reporting to the area as ordered by the US. If The One can successfully deny a bow is a bow, despite video to the contrary, then certainly he has what it takes to make the world think the pirates are scared to death of him and the US Navy and are busting butt to get to the area as ordered.
We have never really taken advantage of the insecurity and inferiority complexes that seem to be genetic in these scum, along with a good dose of cowardice.
It’s darn nice of them to bring all those ships and hostages to one place so we can deal with them in one fell swoop.
