NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- Pirates and U.S. warships are racing to the spot in the Indian Ocean where an American sea captain is being held hostage by a handful of pirates.

A Nairobi-based diplomat says the pirates holding Capt. Richard Phillips have summoned assistance. He says skiffs and motherships are heading toward the area from the coast.

Excellent points.

The oligarchy MUST have lots of contingencies for such . . . forces and dynamics . . .

I’m not optimistic in the short run.

I do pray that patriots and GOD’S angelic forces turn the tide in local areas of influence.

I think that’s the most that the Biblical script as I read it, would allow for . . . before Armageddon.

Is this Biden's "big test" of Zero?

Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

If so, Biden has very small vision.

Actually,

I think if even 75% of the implications of OThuga’s reign were viewed all at one time . . . there’d be masses of heart attacks.

THey know MuslimBama will not take action. Oh how I hope someone in our military chooses to do the right thing and take some action.

Let me get this straight. Captain Richard Phillips jumps out of the boat and begins swimming away leaving only terrorist pirates in the boat, yet the USS Bainbridge did not have the clearance to blow the pirate-filled boat out of the water? Unfrigginbelievable. This is actually worse than Jimmy Carter.

Carter's biggest fault in these situations was being a micromanager. Obama simply hasn't bothered to show any management. The best he could do would be to turn the entire operation over to the US Navy. Instead, he is turning it over to Eric Holder.

Just heard the French Navy freed hostages taken by pirates over the weekend.

Have we fallen so low we need to take a cue from the French???

Why in the world can’t we bring is one sniper for every pirate on the boat and coordinate a 1...2...3...shoot kind of thing. Take them all out at once, leaving the captain. I swear the leadership is this country is full of wimps. Someone said bring back Bush. He probably would’ve handled this the same way. He got wimpy after the media pressure following shock and awe.

This is a perfect SEAL team exercise. Those four fools would disappear faster than green corn through the new maid.

Unfortunately these pirates are probably negotiating to be part of an ACORN international branch that will subsequently get funding from Pelosi, etc...

So I doubt we will use our military to do the right thing.

Look at what IOTUS said after DPRK launched their missle:

“Rules must be binding. Violations must be punished. Words must mean something. The world must stand together to prevent the spread of these weapons. Now is the time for a strong international response.”

He just spews spooge for the liberal media to play and NOTHING happens.

He did such a great job on building an international response for DPRK...what a joke and circus our country is becoming.

What does Amnesty Internationale have to say about this? How about the Untied Nations?

Worthless.

Wild unsubstantiated speculation: Is Raila Ondinga involved in this piracy?

The best solution for this lawless Islamic hellhole would be for Ethiopia to just take the whole country over — in their own way.

They were there for a while in the past and just recently -

“what a joke and circus our country is becoming...”

The whole word watches as the eunuch cowers in the Whitehouse wishing the whole thing would just go away.

With him as CIC, the whole world knows now we are open game.

God help us all.

“The crisis has escalated because this has been allowed to go on far too long.”

Just like Jimmy Carter waited too long for the Iran Embassy hostages. Hopefully this won’t last 444 days.

Zero tolerance (no pun intended) is the ONLY policy when dealing with Terrorists.

Good point. However, I just want to point out Pirates are not terrorists, they are pirates ...

All pirates are not terrorists, and pirates goals and terrorists goals are never the same ... All pirates are not necessarily bad people ... Somalian pirates do not seem to be good people at all... But I have not seen or heard of them beheading infidels or blowing themselves up in a group of crowded innocent people ... Pirate Hostages are held for ransom and released unharmed most the time unlike hostages of terrorists who are held for ransom, then demand prisoner exchange before finally being beheaded because the Koran told them too ...

Saying that, this group of Pirates should have been captured and/or killed the night the first warship arrived.

The FBI negotiators have allowed the pirates to bring reinforcements! Unbelievable!

Better yet, we watch with reconnaissance assets where the pirates bases are, where they live, and what they are doing 24/7 ...

If the navy would have had those intelligence assets back in 1805, or 1815 .... The Barbary wars would have been over in a matter of days ... not months ...
