It has little to do with military experience. We have a President who doesn’t like his country. America is wrong in his eyes. Listen to how he talks America down on these overseas trips.
Look at his policies. He cannot say anything in favor of a country he despises. He doesn’t believe in the fundamental idea of America - individual liberty.
Those ships represent reprehensible free market behavior. In his mind they’re repressing people and deserve what they get.

Did I hear right that no one on this Maersk ship was armed?? They interviewed some guy this morning on F&F and I could swear he said that the guys being armed would only make things worse!! holy crud if this is true.
An American-flagged ship was hijacked by stateless pirates in international waters. First time in over 200 years.
The US fought a little "war" over this early in our statehood.
That a US President would have nothing to say on this matter is CRIMINAL.

My reason for the “military experience” comment was to show only that if a military decision had to be made, he would have no idea what to do. Not whether he would do it or not. The decision of whether to actually do anything would be directly related to the fact that he has no experience to make that decision.
This is yet one more example that we have a piece of crap in the White House.
a. The laughter shows the utter arrogance of these cretins

b. The laughter is a nervous reaction to being so scared or clueless
I think it's a combo of both. Arrogant and stupid - the worst combination of traits.
And for all his faults, imagine if John McCain were president right now, and an American had been taken hostage by pirates.

2006 - Fitted as a Somali Elder. Think about it. Obama’s sympathies are not with the hijacked American crew. Why exactly does one get oneself fitted as a “Somali Elder”?
Obama does not comment because his true feelings could be exposed. In his mind the Somalis are justified in their actions. He does not recognize the brave actions of the crew as valorous. The self-sacrifice of the captain is not registering on his radar.
The captain of that ship is a true American Hero. To Obama he is a problem that Obama does not know how to deal with.
To Obama, the Somalis are the heroes and the brave ones. Obama simply can't say that in public. Hence, no comment.
