I lost mine in a hunting incident. There we were, out in the duck blind with every gun I own. Since there is a law saying I cannot have over 3 shots with the same gun I take them all. It was cold, so very cold, the clouds were out and the Jack Daniels we took with us for warmth wasnt getting the job done. so we decided to start a charcoal fire. We had charcoal and a cooker, for the hot dogs, you know. Well we had forgotten the lighter fluid, but there was a gas can in the truck. We liberally threw some gas on the charcoal, and lit er off.
The gasoline fire got into the brush lining the blind and before you know it we had a conflagratiom it happened so fast the dog was singed, and up the blind went with every gun I owned burning in it. I wept as the ammunition cooked off.

Yup lost every weapon I had in that fire. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

By the way Nancy Pelosi is a greater danger to this country than Bin Laden ever was.

LOL...

Reminds of my dad's story of a new double barrel shotgun he had acquired back in the 50's. He and his brother (Joe) were out duck hunting. They had come out to an area in their duck boats.

At the end of hunting they started back. The wind picked up while they were in the middle of the lake. Dad noticed his gun was in his brother's boat so he asked for it. Joe took the gun and handed it to dad. Dad reached out to get it. Dad was in the process of grabbing it over the water when Joe let go. Dad thought Joe had it, Joe thought dad had it, and down it went into the lake.

Dad said the lake was "Too damned deep" to ever hope of getting it again.

It eventually became the humorous story to tell around the table over dinner.

Dad, being a God fearing man, never let that come between them. He said it's just a gun. Love of family is more powerful than anything material.

Wow that's some story and I feel for ya.
I lost all my guns in a Clothes Dryer accident.

One day a few years back I was cleaning them all and put them in the Clothes Dryer on 'Low' to evaporate some excess Hoppes #9. Well, when the cycle ended I opened the dryer door and.. POOF ... they were all gone?!? Darnedest thing I've ever seen.

But the real puzzle was, some lost socks from 1989 reappeared!

I never reported this to the Police as I was too embarrassed. But that's my story and I'm sticken to it.

I'm seeing more and more 'lost gun' stories since the Kenyan was (cough) 'elected', its kinda odd ;-)

What a shame you lost them all. We lost all of our good ones when the canoe turned over. We have a couple of cheap ones left, so they can have those if it comes to surrendering them or jail. We have one box of ammo for each, 20 rounds, they can have those too.
