Instead of paying millions in ransom, why don’t these guys hire security teams for their vessels (i.e. Blackwater etc.). I read somewhere that these cargo ships are prohibited from bearing arms. If correct, that is stupid. Contracted Security with proper armaments to repel attackers seems me to be the cheaper alternative.
Hussien Obama told the N Koreans “Dont you launch that rocket!” They did, he did nothing. Now the pirates have taken our ship. Once again he will do nothing. The building blocks to another 9/11 disaster are being put into place one by one.
In a sane world, the US would send armed decoys to meet and neutralize the terrorists.
But we all know that the “pirates” are being given a free pass because of their “race” and their “religion.”
Is our president still in the region? He needs to go to Somalia now and visit with the various heads of those in power to bring this madness to an end...he can do that, right?

Slash and burn the US Navy and other services that could be watching over a place like this, instead, we read abt it in the MSM, and more than likely, we’ll be hearing that the entire ship and crew “disappeared”, and nothing will be done about it.

And for the person who was asking abt why there isn’t a Convoy system in place to combat things like this? I was in one of those Units in the Late 90’s, but they were all but done away with by the “Higher Powers” because protective “Convoy Duty” was a thing of the past.....

After 24 hours, if not corrected, ever sea port in that country large enough to launch a 12 foot jon boat would look like a scrap metal dump.
Everything within 50 miles of their coastline would be ashes and rubble.
Zero will just write them a little note on monogrammed stationery.....sprayed with perfume. That’ll work. /s

I lay the blame for this directly at Obama’s teleprompter-reflected feet. Then, he will ask for a UN resolution condemning the capitain of the ship for drifting his ship into Somali-controlled waters.
