New 'Faith-Based' Obama Advisor: Pope Is 'Discredited;' Knights of Columbus, 'An Army of Oppression'

Here’s another story that underlines how ludicrous the media have been in insisting Barack Obama was a natural choice for traditional Catholic and evangelical Christian voters: CNSNews.com correspondent Fred Lucas reports Obama finished stocking the advisory committee of his faith-based initiative with a bang: one new selection was Harry Knox, director of the "religion and faith program" of the gay-left Human Rights Campaign. Just last month, Knox described Pope Benedict XVI and certain Catholic bishops as "discredited leaders" because of their opposition to same-sex marriage.

And, like Charlie Brown who could never kick the football because Lucy pulled it away, “traditional” Christians and Jews still vote for Democrats, presumptively hoping that one day, they'll be less destructive to Judeo-Christian values. Go figure.

Not far from wrong. The present pastor of Trinity Church is a member of Obama's faith based committee.

Oh, and blacks are in the pocket for Democrats, who gladly egg on their silent genocide.

I posted on a thread dealing with the possibility that Catholic hospitals may be required to perform abortions that I would like to see the Obama administration arrest some bishops just to incite a backlash. With people like Knox advising Obama I might get my wish.

Just one more reminder that when you elect a President you are not sending just one person to Washington but rather well over 5,000 people at various levels all the way to the second in command at the White House.

One of the biggest mistakes Dubya made was his failure to clean house the day he entered office. That oversight plagued him throughout his eight years in office. From the CIA to State he was consistently undercut and sabotaged by those where supposed to be implementing his policies and looking out for the good of the nation.

Although the pox carries on for years and years at so many levels, it's nowhere as damaging as in the judiciary where they have lifetime appointments.

For those not familiar with the Old Testament character Habakkuk it would behoove you to look him up. He has his own book in the Old Testament. He was a man of God who was outraged at how the people were treating God and prayed God for deliverance. The Lord heard and answered his prayer, but not in the way Habakkuk would have expected. In fact, his story is the basis for the old saying, “Be careful what you pray for, you might just get it!”

Can’t put into words how mad it makes me when I come out of Sunday Mass and see a car in the church lot with an Obama bumper sticker.

Dear Antoninus,

“From one member of the ‘Army of Oppression’ to another...”

I often root for the overdog.

I prefer the Empire to the rebellion.

I root for the Yankees.

I like the Inquisition.

And I'm a proud “oppressor” of those who want to destroy our culture and the fabric of our society, indeed, our entire civilization.
