HANOI (AFP) Vietnam and other United Nations Security Council members should take a strong stand against North Korea's missile programme, a visiting US senator said Tuesday.
Republican Lindsey Graham made the comment after Pyongyang hailed its weekend rocket launch as a victory that put a satellite into orbit, but the United States and its allies say the satellite never made it into space and Sunday's launch was really a ballistic missile test that failed.
"Vietnam sits on the Security Council and we would urge Vietnam along with China and all members of the Security Council to take a strong stand against the North Korean missile programme," Graham said at a press conference with two other visiting senators, Republican John McCain and Democrat Amy Klobuchar.
"I believe it is very dangerous for the entire world to allow North Korea to develop a missile that can deliver a nuclear weapon," Graham said.

Lindsey, why are you in Viet Nam, shouldn’t you be in Arizona helping John build a fence?

Graham should keep his mouth shut...
Just why in hell would the Commies in Viet Nam be against the Commies in NK? Hello?
Oh, I forgot NIKE & FORD are there so that makes Viet Nam a bastion of democracy & capitalism! Of course, we should all forget about the hundreds of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen & Marines that Viet Nam has never accounted for.

Both of those b@$t@rd$ are an embarrasment to this country. Maybe they will like Vietnam so well they will stay there.

Next up on their little tour? Beijing.
The three US senators are on an Asian tour that was to take them to Beijing -- North Korea's closest ally -- on Wednesday.
I have yet to find a stated
purpose for this little junket, other than a couple of grandstanding buffoons wanting to keep their name in the news.

Ya know, "McPain in the rear" could have been doing something VERY CONSTRUCTIVE “if” he had focused his energy all these years on getting those HUNDREDS of Viet Nam war POW’s & MIA’s accounted for. And FORD, NIKE and the rest should have NEVER been allowed to do business in Viet Nam UNTIL those POW’s & MIA’s were ALL accounted for!

I agree with you. That McCain is now suggesting a Free Trade Agreement with Vietnam just puts salt on the wounds.
