RENO, Nev. – First lady Dawn Gibbons accuses Gov. Jim Gibbons in divorce papers of having extramarital affairs with a former Playboy magazine model and another woman to whom he sent hundreds of text messages last year. The Republican governor has been untruthful about his "infidelity" with the two women, his estranged wife says in a divorce filing, which was unsealed Monday by a court order in Washoe County Family Court.

Gibbons is going to get run out in the primary. It’s surprising that he even won election in 2006.

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing it is not his first marriage...

See my posting at #4. The picture you posted obviously was from many years ago.

You can tell they’re using scab writers. The R word only opened the second sentence, instead of the first!

Dawn Gibbons also made references in court papers to an incident in Las Vegas just weeks before the 2006 election in which a cocktail waitress, Chrissy Mazzeo, accused the governor of making unwanted sexual advances and threatening to rape her in a parking lot.

This guy is so unfit to hold public office that I'm speechless...

I guess the only thing you can say is that if he were a democrat, the media wouldn't care.

"Gibbons is going to get run out in the primary. "

Don't count on it. Gov. Gibbons has been "Mr. No New Taxes" since he was in congress.

The State Assembly is D. The State Senate is D. He proposed to cut $1.5 billion over the next two years (the legislature meets bi-annually) to match decreased revenues.

One of his proposals was to cut state supported higher education 36%. Democrats said no. Gibbons said, "Then you either find the money or cut somewhere else." Tax increases need 2/3 in each house. Ds have it in the Assembly not the Senate.

"No new taxes" is a powerful campaign issue, if it can be backed up. Gibbons can do it.

He should send out a statement saying:

“Many of you may have heard that my estranged wife has accused me of bringing a Playboy bunny into our marital relationship, and causing my wife “severe emotional pain”. Let me just say a few things:

1. If you saw this Playmate coming at you, you’d have done the same thing. Just check her out the December 2006 and you’ll understand.

2. Obama did cocaine and may be bisexual if you believe that new book coming out. At least I’m stayin’ with the ladies.

3. Spitzer paid for it, used a room expensed to the Governor’s office, had his security detail cover for him and had his “date” come to meet him on Amtrak. I’d just like to say that I got it for free, and always flew her around on a Learjet loaned to me by a lobbyist, so no government funds were used in this.

4. I’ve been under stress over the economy. This causes some people to stop paying their mortgages and credit cards, it caused me to spend a lot of time at the Playboy mansion. And again, I did not use stimulus funds for these encounters.

5. She’s better looking than Monica Lewinsky.

Would work for a Democrat.

I hesitated posting this but it is currently running as Yahoo’s third top news story. Contrast with MSNBC’s Dem. omission on Spitzer.

Consider the sources. 1) AP 2) Wife suing for divorce.

Wifey would have no problem with an amicable divorce. Both have no problems with the kids or community property. Wifey said she wanted the court documents unsealed (she could have kept them private) because she wanted to hurt Gibbons publicly. Gibbons has no recourse because the divorce is not contested. He filed his own papers.
